Ranking Best Masters Champions Dinner Menus from Rory McIlroy, Scheffler and More in Past 10 Years
The Masters features many iconic traditions, from the Augusta National course itself to the par-3 contest that precedes the event. The battle for the green jacket is undoubtedly the star of the show, but it is still only part of one of golf's greatest weeks.
Tuesday night will bring a flavorful tradition in the form of the annual Masters Champions Dinner. The dinner is open only to former tournament champions and is hosted by the previous year's Masters winner. The defending champion also curates the menu, and Rory McIlroy is set to spare no expense.
According to Oli Gamp of The Sun, McIlroy's menu—which will include items like bacon-wrapped dates, peach and ricotta flatbread, and Wagyu filet mignon—will be "the most costly to produce in the history of the illustrious dinner" at around $318 per person.
How does McIlroy's menu stack up against some recent Champions Dinner menus? Food is always subjective, of course, but here are our rankings for the past 10 dinners.
Nos. 10-6
1 of 2
10. Tiger Woods (2020)
To be fair to Tiger Woods, the menu he provided in 2020 was the fifth of his career. While there was nothing inherently bad about Tiger's fifth dinner, it wasn't particularly creative or varied, either.
Consisting of a sushi roll, steak and chicken fajitas, and a dessert trio, this dinner was a nod to some of Woods' past menus. However, anyone looking for options was out of luck.
9. Dustin Johnson (2021)
Dustin Johnson's 2021 menu was pretty run-of-the-mill, though it did offer a few more choices than the previous year's dinner.
Johnson offered up a pretty standard sides and salads, along with a choice of filet mignon or miso-marinated sea bass. His choices of appetizers (pigs in a blanket and lobster and corn fritters) and desserts (peach cobbler or apple pie with ice cream) did add a little flair.
8. Danny Willett (2017)
Englishman Danny Willett followed the lead of many past Masters champions and offered a taste of his home country. While traditional English food might appeal to everyone, Willett provided a comforting menu with a clear theme.
Mini cottage pies, a prime rib "Sunday Roast," an apple crumble, and coffee and tea made for a fun four-course meal.
7. Scottie Scheffler (2023)
Scottie Scheffler remains the world's No. 1-ranked golfer. However, he's more middle-of-the-pack when it comes to choosing dinner items.
Following Scheffler's first Masters win, the American presented a menu straight out of a U.S. chain restaurant. His 2023 meal included cheeseburger sliders, firecracker shrimp, tortilla soup, Texas ribeye or blackened fish, sides, and a skillet cookie.
6. Scottie Scheffler (2025)
Scheffler's second menu wasn't much different from the first, though he did swap tortilla soup for chili and add ravioli to the appetizer menu.
Nos. 5-1

5. Patrick Reed (2019)
Patrick Reed's 2019 menu was a sort of please-everyone type of meal in the mold of Scheffler's.
Featuring Caesar and wedge salads, ribeye steak or mountain trout, and standard sides—with the exception of corn crème brûlée, Reed's menu wouldn't be out of place at a family restaurant. He did, at least, provide multiple dessert options.
4. Sergio Garcia (2018)
Sergio Garcia brought a decidedly Spanish flair to his 2018 dinner. While he brought a fairly basic menu, it was well thought-out and filled with flavors.
Garcia created an "International Salad" that featured one ingredient from each of the 10 countries represented by previous Masters champions. That was followed by traditional Spanish lobster rice and tres leches cake—a dessert that, when done right, is exquisite in its simplicity. Spanish wines rounded out the menu.
3. Rory McIlroy (2026)
McIlroy's dinner is shaping up to be one of the better meals in recent Masters memory, if a bit over-the-top. Are grilled elk sliders really necessary? Maybe not, but the addition of sticky toffee pudding will allow McIlroy to add a Northern Irish twist to a highbrow menu.
2. Hideki Matsuyama (2022)
Hideki Matsuyama became the first Masters champion from Japan, and he celebrated with a fittingly fancy and flavorful menu the following year.
Matsuyama's menu included assorted sushi offerings, miso-glazed black cod, Miyazaki Wagyu with mixed mushrooms and vegetables, and Japanese strawberry shortcake.
1. Jon Rahm (2024)
Like Garcia did a few years earlier, Spaniard Jon Rahm brought the flavors of home to Augusta. If Garcia's menu was simplistically wonderful, though, Rahm's was flat-out luxurious.
The tapas course alone—featuring items like cured pork loin, Idiazabal cheese and black truffles, and Spanish omelettes—was a masterpiece on its own. The dinner also featured a first course of Basque crab salad, a main course of Basque ribeye or turbot, and puff pastry cake with custard and chantilly cream for dessert.
Rahm's 2024 menu set a high bar that this year's champion may find difficult to reach.
