Lindsey Vonn Talks 'F--ked Up' Leg Injury, Dishes on Potential Return to Skiing, Retirement
After suffering a devastating leg injury at the Milano Cortina Olympics in February, it's fair to wonder whether legendary skier Lindsey Vonn will call it a career.
Vonn, who had multiple surgeries following the injury, said she isn't ready to rule out a comeback just yet.
"I don't like to close the door on anything, because you just never know what's going to happen," Vonn told Elise Taylor of Vanity Fair. "I have no idea what my life will be like in two years or three years or four years. I could have two kids by then. I could have no kids and want to race again. I could live in Europe. I could be doing anything."

While she may not be ready to close the door on her skiing career, she recognizes that the injury may not leave her much of a choice.
"It's hard to tell with this injury. It's so f--ked up. I really feel like that was a horrible last run to end my career on," she said. "I only made it 13 seconds. But they were a really good 13 seconds."
Time will tell whether the 41-year-old Vonn will ever ski competitively again, but if she does retire, she'll leave behind quite the legacy. She went to five Winter Olympics, winning three medals and one gold. She's also won eight World Championship medals, two of which are gold.
