Watch LeBron James' Golf Game Get Trolled in Funny New Commercial for Beats x Nike Collab
Beats and Nike revealed their first hardware collaboration in history Tuesday with the help of a King.
Kings James, that is.
LeBron James starred in a humorous commercial poking fun at his golf skills despite his newfound love of the sport. While he misses putts, hits drives out of bounds, dodges rattlesnakes and struggles to find his form, he also smiles the entire time as he blocks out distractions with the Powerbeats Pro 2 - Nike Special Edition earbuds.
And there is plenty of noise to block out with so many fellow golfers offering advice, including Tom Kim of the PGA Tour.
"When two iconic brands like Beats and Nike come together, it's more than a collaboration—for me, it's family," James said in the press release. "I've been part of the Beats journey since day one with the original Powerbeats, and the Powerbeats Pro 2 represent everything I need in my daily routine, whether I'm training, recovering, or just living life. These aren't just my go-to earbuds—they're built for anyone who refuses to compromise on performance."
The earbuds, which will be available for purchase on March 20, feature the Nike Swoosh on the right bud and the Beats "b" on the left one, marking the first time Beats has shared earbud space with a partner. The charging case also features Nike's "Just Do It" slogan inside the lid.
Among the features are adaptive active noise cancelling and transparency mode, built-in heart rate monitoring, and up to 45 hours of battery life.
As for James, this is just his latest foray into the golf world.
"The bug is real," he said of golf on his Mind The Game podcast with Steve Nash (5:45 mark). "I've heard about the bug for so many years, and I was always like, 'Well, it's not going to get me. I don't even like golf at all. Who wants to be outside all day walking around?' No, it's real. I am into it."
He has also posted about golf on social media and was even caught practicing his swing during a timeout in a Los Angeles Lakers game:
It reached a point in December where he quickly parlayed a question about Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George into a discussion about his love of the sport.
"I'm the wrong guy to ask that question, champ," James told reporters. "I watch YouTube golf these days, so I'm the wrong guy to ask about that. [Keyonte George] played great tonight, played great the last time we played them, he's playing good ball. But yeah, I'm more into the Bryan Bros, Grant Horvat, Bryson DeChambeau and the rest of those guys."
Now the King has a new set of earbuds to use when he is watching those YouTube golf videos after dominating on the court.
