Klay Thompson Injured, Latest Updates on Mavs Star and Timeline to Return After Exiting vs. Thunder
Dallas Mavericks veteran guard Klay Thompson is dealing with an injury.
Per NBA insider Marc Stein, Thompson suffered a right adductor contusion and has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's contests against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Thompson had seven points in 15 minutes off the bench before exiting the game. The 13-year veteran and second-year Maverick is putting up a career-low 11.5 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game this season.
An injury to Thompson would only add to a lengthy list of ailments for the Mavs. Dallas had 10 players on the injury report on Sunday, with eight of those players sidelined completely.
Rookie sensation Cooper Flagg hasn't played since Feb. 10 because of a foot injury. The No. 1 overall pick is putting up 20.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game, battling former Duke teammate Kon Knueppel for Rookie of the Year.
Star point guard Kyrie Irving has yet to suit up this season because of the torn ACL he suffered last year. Dallas announced last month that the veteran would miss the rest of the season, adding that he "has made steady progress in rehabilitation and will remain actively engaged with the team through the remainder of the season."
Other injuries for the Mavs include Dereck Lively II, who is recovering from foot surgery, and PJ Washington, who is dealing with a left ankle sprain.
While Thompson's injury certainly isn't good news, his absence wouldn't be too detrimental considering Dallas is in 12th place in the West at 21-38 and is almost certainly on its way to missing the playoffs.
