Paul started his career with the New Orleans Hornets before spending six years with the Los Angeles Clippers. He then had stops in Houston, Oklahoma City and Phoenix before spending a season each with the Golden State Warriors and Spurs.
He returned to Los Angeles this year but was traded after being sent home by the Clippers and he subsequently retired.
Paul isn't the first person to call the Spurs one of the best organizations in the NBA. After all, San Antonio has won five championships in the last 30 years behind legendary coach Gregg Popovich.
The Spurs have faced a few down years since their last title, but appear to be a team on the rise with Victor Wembanyama leading the way.
