Shiffrin also finished fourth in the women's team combined event last week.

Shiffrin overcame a 0.54-second deficit to win a slalom in Austria by 0.09 seconds back in December.
That marked the largest time deficit she had overcome in a slalom event since 2013.
Shiffrin was once more left trailing after finishing outside of the top six in each of her first three runs of the Olympic event.
She was ultimately unable to complete another comeback as Italy's Federica Brignone took home gold in the event.
Brignone, who bounced back from a severe leg injury including an ACL tear last April to compete in the Olympics, finished 0.62 seconds ahead of Sweden's Sara Hector and Norway's Thea Louise Stjernesund for the win.
Shiffrin said after the race she felt the event was "the greatest show of GS skiing that we've had in a really long time," per the AP's Steve Douglas.
"And to do it, you know, at the Olympics where people actually have eyes on the sport. Federica skied incredible. That was so cool to watch," Shiffrin said.
Hector, the event's defending champion, and Stjernesund finished with matching times to take home a joint silver medal.
Shiffrin had been looking to bounce back after her struggles in slalom left her and Breezy Johnson off the podium in the women's team combined event.
Shiffrin, the winningest alpine skiier of all time, holds two Olympic gold medals from the 2014 Sochi Games and the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics in addition to a silver medal in Pyeongchang and her record 108 World Cup wins.
The 30-year-old will get her next shot at her first Olympic medal since 2018 when the women's slalom competition begins Wednesday.
