Madden NFL 16 Player Ratings: AFC North Division Revealed
EA Sports released the ratings for the AFC North teams in Madden 16 on Tuesday, and not surprisingly, it bunched the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers all closely together.
You can see the full ratings below:
| Baltimore Ravens | 85 | ROLB Terrell Suggs (93), MLB Daryl Smith (90), MLB C.J. Mosley (88), LOLB Elvis Dumervil (88), RG Marshal Yanda (98 OVR), LG Kelechi Osemele (90 OVR), RB Justin Forsett (87) |
| Cincinnati Bengals | 84 | LT Andrew Whitworth (95), WR A.J. Green (92), DT Geno Atkins (89), RB Jeremy Hill (86), RG Kevin Zeitler (89), MLB Vontaze Burfict (86) |
| Pittsburgh Steelers | 84 | WR Antonio Brown (97), QB Ben Roethlisberger (95), RB Le'Veon Bell (94), LE Cameron Heyward (88) |
| Cleveland Browns | 75 | MLB Karlos Dansby (90), CB Joe Haden (90), SS Donte Whitner (90) |
All three teams reached the postseason last year, with the Steelers winning the division at 11-5 and the Ravens and Bengals each finishing 10-6, while the Ravens were the only team to advance past the Wild Card Round. So it's hardly shocking that the three teams would be closely bunched in the ratings.
The Steelers will have the most explosive offense to use in the game, with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger throwing to wide receiver Antonio Brown and running back Le'Veon Bell pounding the ball between the tackles.
The Ravens will certainly be fun to use defensively, especially with their excellent linebacker corps, though the loss of wide receiver Torrey Smith means that Madden users will have to give rookie wideout Breshad Perriman (73 overall) and rookie tight end Maxx Williams (74 overall) a try.
The Bengals are more balanced, meanwhile, with a solid defense and an offense that includes Andy Dalton, A.J. Green, Tyler Eifert and a two-headed monster at running back with Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard. Utilizing both Hill and Bernard will be a key strategy for players using the Bengals this year.
And then there are the Cleveland Browns, the caboose of this division. Fans of scrambling quarterbacks will give Johnny Manziel a try (71 overall), though Josh McCown (72 overall) is actually the higher-rated quarterback and the team's likely starter heading into the season.
With Jordan Cameron off to Miami and Josh Gordon still suspended, however, fans of the Browns won't have many weapons to utilize. Dwayne Bowe (83 overall), Andrew Hawkins (80 overall) and Brian Hartline (78 overall) make up a mediocre receiving corps, while Isaiah Crowell (74 overall), Terrance West (73 overall) and rookie Duke Johnson (73 overall) don't offer much in the running game.
The defense is solid, however, something fans of the Browns will have to lean on if they use the team in this year's game.
Overall, the AFC North is represented in Madden about the same way as last season ended: The three teams at the top of the division are even as even can be, with the Browns still a long way off from competing for a playoff berth.
