The finishing scores among the eight finalists were as follows:

  1. Cooper Woods (Australia): 83.71

2. Mikaรซl Kingsbury (Canada): 83.71

3. Ikuma Horishima (Japan): 83.44

4. Walter Wallberg (Sweden): 82.40

5. Matt Graham (Australia): 80.88

6. Julien Viel (Canada): 79.78

7. Nick Page (USA): 75.00

8. Jackson Harvey (Australia): 74.93

Although Woods and Kingsbury had identical scores, Woods was awarded the gold on a tiebreaker since the turns element of his run scored higher than Kingsbury's.

Woods' victory was a fairly significant upset since he beat out multiple past Olympic medalists in order to reach the top of the podium.

Kingsbury is now a four-time Olympic medalist in men's moguls, having won gold in 2018 and silver in 2014, 2022 and 2026.

Meanwhile, Horishima has now taken the bronze in men's moguls at back-to-back Olympics.

The fourth-place finisher, Wallberg, was the gold medalist in Beijing four years ago, while Graham, who came in fifth, won silver at the 2018 Winter Games in Pyeongchang.

The 25-year-old Woods had never before medaled at the Olympic or world championship level, while Kingsbury and Horishima both have multiple world championship golds to their credit, along with their Olympic medals.

An Australian has medaled in men's moguls at four of the past six Olympics, but Woods is only the second Aussie gold medalist in the event, joining Dale Begg-Smith, who won it at the 2006 Turin Games.

Canada has medaled in men's moguls at five straight Olympics thanks to Kingsbury's gold, and Japan has now won the bronze in the event at three consecutive Winter Games.

With Page coming in seventh, the United States has failed to medal in men's moguls at four straight Olympics after medaling five of the first six times the discipline was part of the Olympic program, and four straight from 1998 to 2010.
