
Jalen Brunson, Joel Embiid Showdown Thrills NBA Fans as Knicks Outlast 76ers for Dramatic Win
Jalen Brunson and Joel Embiid put on a show as the New York Knicks took down the Philadelphia 76ers by the final score of 112-109 on Saturday.
With the Knicks holding a three-point lead with just under five seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, a pass from Embiid was stolen by OG Anunoby to seal the final result.
Brunson finished with 31 points on 11-of-24 shooting, connecting on six of his 12 attempts from behind the arc. He also recorded five rebounds and six assists compared to two turnovers.

As for Embiid, he scored a game-high 38 points while grabbing 11 rebounds and dishing out five assists. He shot 13-of-21 from the field and 3-of-5 from three-point territory.
Fans were amazed by the battle between the two stars.
Both teams started off strong offensively, as they were tied 34-34 at the end of the first quarter.
They continued to trade baskets in the second, although Philadelphia was able to briefly pull ahead by four points at halftime primarily due to the heroics of Embiid. The 2023 MVP scored 28 points in the first half alone.
New York eventually responded in the third quarter, outscoring Philadelphia 30-13 in the period. The Knicks dominated the glass while the 76ers struggled to connect on their looks from behind the arc.
New York held a 13-point edge heading into the fourth quarter and extended their lead to 17 points with just over eight minutes remaining in the game, but Philadelphia immediately responded with a 12-0 run of its own.
The 76ers eventually pulled to within two points later in the quarter, but a pair of triples from Anunoby and Landry Shamet gave the Knicks some breathing room.
Tyrese Maxey quickly buried a three-pointer before a foul by Brunson on a jump ball resulted in a pair of free throws for VJ Edgecombe, cutting the deficit to three points once again.
Another layup by Maxey and multiple missed free throws by the Knicks kept the 76ers just three points back, although Maxey failed to connect on a game-tying three.
Brunson still gave Philadelphia life by missing two free throws, but Embiid's costly turnover ended the contest.
The Knicks were able to emerge victorious largely due to their activity on the boards, pulling down 53 rebounds compared to just 38 for the 76ers.
New York improved to 27-18 with the win, as Philadelphia fell to 24-20.
