Je'Von Evans' match against El Grande Americano on Monday night's episode of Raw was stopped early after Evans suffered an apparent injury, but a positive update on The Young OG's status emerged after the show.
According to PWInsider.com (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News), there was no major concern coming out of Raw that Evans suffered a structural injury. There was some concern that he may have suffered a concussion, though, and while his diagnosis on that front remains unclear, he was reportedly cleared to leave the venue in Belfast, Northern Ireland, with the rest of the Raw roster.
Following an ad break during the match between Evans and Americano, fans returned to an announcement that Americano had been ruled the winner since Evans could not continue.
Evans was being tended to by a referee and a doctor outside the ring, and he appeared to be holding his shoulder as he made his way up the ramp.
The 21-year-old phenom recently got called up from NXT to WWE's main roster, and it hasn't taken him long to make an impression on the WWE Universe.
Evans quickly rose through the ranks in NXT thanks to his high-flying style and infectious personality, and all signs point toward the same thing happening on the main roster.
Competing in and performing well in the men's Royal Rumble match on Jan. 31 would be the ideal way to get Evans over with the fans even more, so WWE officials are likely hopeful that whatever ailment he is dealing with won't prevent him from being able to work that show.
Potential WrestleMania Plans for Liv Morgan
Liv Morgan only recently returned from a shoulder injury that kept her out of action for over five months, but the wheels are reportedly already in motion for her to potentially be part of a huge match at WrestleMania 42.
As reported Monday by Self Made Pro during Self Made Sessions (h/t Carrier), it is "absolutely in play" for Morgan to win the women's Royal Rumble match and then challenge Stephanie Vaquer for the Women's World Championship at WrestleMania.
Self Made Pro added that there have been "high-level meetings over the last couple of weeks" meant to come up with WrestleMania plans for Morgan and potentially others.
Currently, Morgan is focused on recapturing the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships since she had to relinquish her spot as one half of the tag champs when she got injured in June.
Morgan is teaming with Roxanne Perez while their Judgment Day stablemate, Raquel Rodriguez, is feuding with Vaquer over the women's world title.
Assuming Vaquer emerges from that rivalry with her title reign intact, it would make sense for Morgan to step up and attempt to avenge her friend's loss.
Morgan has come close to winning the women's Royal Rumble on multiple occasions, including 2023 and 2024 when she was the runner-up.
Having her finally get over the hump this year would be a big moment, and a title match against Vaquer on the Grandest Stage of Them All would be the proverbial cherry on top.
Reported Details on Hobbs Joining WWE
After nearly a week of rumors and speculation, former AEW star Powerhouse Hobbs reportedly may officially be part of the WWE roster.
According to Fightful Select (h/t Carrier), sources have said that people within WWE are "operating on the belief" that Hobbs has signed with the company.
Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp reported last week that Hobbs' AEW contract was expiring on Jan. 15, and the expectation was that he was WWE bound.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t WrestlePurists) reported that while AEW attempted to re-sign Hobbs, he was not interested and instead wanted to make the move to WWE.
Hobbs, 34, has been with AEW since 2020, and while he never won the AEW World Championship, he was often involved with significant storylines and faced many of the company's top stars.
He also held the TNT Championship and AEW World Trios Championship one time each during his tenure.
On Saturday, Hobbs and his partners, Samoa Joe and Katsuyori Shibata, dropped the trios titles to "Hangman" Adam Page and JetSpeed during a pre-taped episode of Collision.
Based on Fightful's report, it appears as though that match will go down as Hobbs' last in AEW.
