What Dante Moore Returning to Oregon Means for Dylan Raiola After Transfer
Oregon quarterback Dante Moore announced that he'll return to the Ducks and forgo the 2026 NFL draft on Wednesday.
With Moore coming off a strong 2025 season while being eligible for the 2026 draft, former Nebraska passer Dylan Raiola committed to Oregon in the transfer portal on Monday.
According to On3's Hayes Fawcett, Raiola is expected to remain with the Ducks and sit behind Moore in 2026.
Raiola could redshirt in 2026 while operating in a backup role and eventually play two more seasons in 2027 and 2028.
Moore is familiar with his teammate's situation, as he sat behind Dillon Gabriel during the 2024 season after transferring from UCLA.
While Raiola has two years of experience as a starter, he might use the 2026 season to become more familiar with Ducks offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer's system.
During his final year with the Cornhuskers in 2025, he completed 72.4 percent of his throws for 2,000 yards and 18 touchdowns compared to six interceptions in nine games.
He'll now join Moore in one of the most talented quarterback rooms in the country.
The Ducks are coming off an impressive 2025 campaign, finishing with a 13-2 record and advancing to the College Football Playoff semifinals.
Moore threw for 3,565 yards and 30 touchdowns while getting picked off 10 times, completing 71.8 percent of his passes.
He was projected to be off the board with the No. 2 overall pick in the latest mock draft from Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department.
Moore will be suiting up for Oregon once again instead, with Raiola in line to take over under center in 2027.
