Chad Johnson's Daughter Is Incinerating the Junior Track and Field Circuit
Since leaving the NFL in 2011, Chad Johnson has enjoyed a nice Canadian quasi-retirement with the Montreal .
He's not doing much on the field anymore, seemingly reserving most of his energy for loving people over Twitter and working with his 10-year-old daughter, Cha'iel—a speed prodigy quickly making her presence felt in the world of youth track and field.
Sports has been covering Cha'iel—nicknamed "Moca"—for a while now, and the outlet recently caught up with her father as she prepared to take on the and 800-meter running events at the National Junior Olympics.

The Detroit Free Press uploaded video of the chat.
Speaking on Moca's ability to outrun kids her age by demoralizing margins (she beat the runner-up at the semifinal Wednesday by nearly two seconds), Chad said he's just trying to support her and not become an overbearing sports dad.
"I don't really know much about track, so what I'm doing is I allow her coach to train her, and I just kind of step in where I can without stepping on anyone's toes," Johnson said. "I'm just enjoying watching her get better week in and week out."
Johnson emphasized his belief in not pushing kids into sports and avoiding the youth savant burnout:
"Number one, as a parent, having a child...that participates in sports, I don't push them. The great thing about her is she already has that want, that go-get-it. Right now all I have to do is just continue to teach her about hard work...and make sure she doesn't peak. That's something that's very scary for young kids is when they peak too soon and there's no room for improvement.
"
Mocha is slated to continue her streak of dominance at the 800-meter finals Saturday. I hope at least the race for second place is competitive.
Dan is on Twitter. He was really good at the high jump as a kid, meaning he didn't throw up his after doing it. Usually.
