Amanda Serrano vs. Reina Tellez Judges' Scorecards, Punch Stats and Prize Money
Amanda Serrano got back in the win column with a unanimous decision win over Reina Tellez to successfully defend her WBO and WBA featherweight title in her native Puerto Rico.
The Puerto Rico crowd didn't disappoint for Serrano. They were behind Serrano from the outset, providing palpable energy.

Serrano looked confident early on, but Tellez did impress with a few power punches early in the bout.
That being said, it was clear there was a talent gulf that wasn't going to be covered by Tellez's power. Serrano peppered her with shots and overwhelmed her with volume across the three-minute round.
The runaway train continued as the fight moved to the middle rounds. Serrano's body work started slowing Tellez's movement and the champion picked apart her opponent. Of course, Serrano's defense has always been a question mark and it did show up occasionally.
Tellez's ability to land some hard shots earned respect from those watching.
Still, the main takeaway from the action was that Serrano is still very sharp at 126 pounds, white Telles is still a prospect to keep an eye on.
The win is a reminder of just how good Serrano is in her natural weight class. She returned to the featherweight division after coming up short in back-to-back bids to beat Katie Taylor in the light welterweight division.
Primarily, this bout served as an opportunity for Serrano to fight in front of a hometown crowd. She hadn't fought in Puerto Rico since 2021.
Serrano was originally set to fight former foe Erika Cruz in a rematch of 2023 fight that Serrano won by unanimous decision. However, Cruz was forced off the card due to an atypical VADA test result.
Tellez stepped in on short notice and Serrano was grateful for the opportunity to keep the date. Serrano chose to continue with the fight even when Tellez missed weight and became ineligible to win the belt in the event of a win.
"I'm disappointed the original fight couldn't move forward, but my priority has always been respect for the sport," Serrano said in a statement.
Serrano hasn't said much about who she would like next, but she continues to pile up opportunities in Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions. She reportedly earned an approximate $9 million for her last bout against Taylor.
Official numbers have not been reported for this bout. It's likely to be signficantly less without an opponent of Taylor's caliber.
That being said, this is a win that could set up another big payday for Serrano as she enjoys being one of the biggest draws in the sport right now.
