While Clemson surely had College Football Playoff aspirations at the start of the year, the videos indicate the players are having fun at their bowl destination and taking advantage of a trip to New York City.
And things have been fun for the Tigers down the stretch.
They won their final four games of the regular season, one of which came against a ranked Louisville team and another of which came against rival South Carolina. It was a strong finish after a 3-5 start to the year that had many questioning whether Dabo Swinney's club would even make a bowl game.
Clemson has been in a bowl game every year since Swinney took over as head coach during the 2008 campaign. While that stretch includes four appearances in the CFP title game and two national championships, it is a nod to the program's consistency that it was able to keep the streak alive another year.
The end result is a bowl game showdown with another team that had CFP aspirations and failed to live up to expectations in Penn State.
The Nittany Lions fired head coach James Franklin but will be starting a new era in 2026 under Matt Campbell. Like Clemson, they won their final three games of the season just to become bowl eligible and have some momentum heading into Saturday's game.
Whichever team wins will keep that momentum heading into next season.
