Jake Paul Injury Update, Return Timeline and Tommy Fury Rematch Discussed by MVP Exec
Despite losing to Anthony Joshua by sixth-round knockout on Friday night, Jake Paul is still looking forward to his return to the boxing ring.
While speaking to TMZ, Paul's business partner and Most Valuable Promotions co-founder Nakisa Bidarian discussed the 28-year-old's status following his second career loss.
"I think, health-wise, he's doing great," Bidarian said (5:55 mark). "He went to the hospital that night, had his jaw operated on, has metal plates on both sides now, which is actually a great thing long-term. Went through multiple scans, no injury to the brain, no injury to the spine, so, just the jaw fractures. I think the recovery is five to six weeks for what he had done."

Paul announced that he underwent successful surgery after having his jaw broken in two places by Joshua's knockout punch.
Still, Bidarian made it clear that Paul intends to be back in the ring next year with a move back down to cruiserweight.
"Look, he wants to come back," Bidarian said. "We haven't talked about timeline, but he wants to come back in 2026."
Bidarian went on to confirm that Paul is interested in a rematch agains Tommy Fury, who handed him his first career loss in 2023, though he admitted that there's some hesitance on his end to set up that fight.
"Tommy Fury is a loss that he wants to avenge. Do I want to pursue the Tommy Fury fight next from an MVP perspective? No, because I don't believe Tommy Fury is reliable," Bidarian said. "But ultimately, it's Jake's call, just like Anthony Joshua was Jake's call. So we'll speak to Jake, and whatever he wants to do, I'll do my hardest and try every effort to make it happen for him."
