Latest Cowboys Rumors on Trevon Diggs' Injury Status, Return Ahead of Chargers Game
The Dallas Cowboys need a miracle to make the playoffs, and they reportedly could have their star cornerback back on the field as they try to pull off that miracle.
Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Trevon Diggs is "likely" going to be activated from the injured reserve to play against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, which would mark his first game since October.
Diggs suffered a concussion because of an "accident" at his home and was placed on the injured reserve on Oct. 25. Before the concussion, Diggs had recorded 18 tackles in six games.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Cowboys opened up Diggs' practice window on Nov. 30, and he said that he expected to play against the Minnesota Vikings last week, though Dallas opted to leave him on the injured reserve.
His absence in last week's loss may have less to do with his health and more to do with his standing with the team. NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported last week that Diggs' relationship with the Cowboys has "soured" to the point of being "severed," despite him having a "great week of practice." It's unclear what has caused the rift in the relationship.
While it seems Diggs and Dallas may not be on the best of terms, the team has little choice but to play him this week. DaRon Bland landed on the injured reserve with a left foot injury this week, leaving the Cowboys in a bind at the cornerback position.
The Cowboys dropped to 6-7-1 with Sunday's loss to the Vikings, virtually ending their hopes of making the playoffs. According to The Athletic's playoff simulator, Dallas would have just a three percent chance of making the postseason even if it wins out. The Cowboys need to win all three of their remaining games while banking on the Philadelphia Eagles losing out.
Diggs hasn't been on the field in more than two months, but he'll look to aid a struggling Cowboys' defense in his return.
