Cowboys' Trevon Diggs Placed on IR with Concussion After Home Accident, Out 4 Games
The Dallas Cowboys placed cornerback Trevon Diggs on injured reserve Saturday, meaning he'll miss a minimum of four games.
Diggs suffered a concussion during what has been classified as an accident at his home. He has been in the concussion protocol since Oct. 17.
"I don't have any more information than you guys do," head coach Brian Schottenheimer told reporters last week regarding the accident involving Diggs. "I get why you would ask that question. The biggest thing that I can update you on is again he came in with a symptom and he has symptoms, and now he's in the protocol."

Browns Declined Cowboys Trade
Diggs, 27, missed 21 games between the 2023-24 season due to injuries. He's appeared in six games in 2025, registering 18 tackles. He was a Pro Bowler in both the 2021 and 2022 seasons and was a first-team All-Pro selection in 2021 after registering 11 interceptions and two defensive touchdowns.
He turned those productive seasons into a five-year, $97 million extension, though he had more interceptions in 2021 than he's had in his other five seasons combined (nine picks and only three interceptions in the past three seasons).
His relationship with the team also took an odd turn in the offseason, when the Cowboys nixed a $500,000 bonus in his contract because he didn't rehabilitate a knee injury at the team's facilities.
As for the team's secondary, the Cowboys will rely on DaRon Bland and Kaiir Elam as the starters, while Trikweze Bridges, Caelen Carson and Reddy Stewart are also available.
