He also provided an update regarding his health on social media.
"Life has a way of reminding you to slow down," Keselowski wrote in a post on X. "Grateful for my family by my side, an excellent medical team, and the ability to take a few steps forward today. Focused on Daytona. Bonus - I'm now bionic!"
His situation isn't completely unheard of, as 2020 Cup Series champion Chase Elliott missed six races during his 2023 campaign due to a broken leg that he suffered in a snowboarding accident.
As for Keselowski, he enters 2026 looking to build upon a 2025 season in which he finished at No. 20 in the Cup Series standings. He recorded three runner-up results and six finishes within the top five.
Keselowski won the Cup Series championship in 2012 and has 36 series wins under his belt. He was previously a member of Team Penske before leaving at the end of the 2021 season to become an owner and driver of Roush Fenway Racing, which has since become RFK Racing.
