Why 25 Goals Is a Realistic Aim for Marco Reus in 2015/16 Bundesliga Season
One of the most important things to consider when one is trying to predict just how well Borussia Dortmund will do this season is how well Marco Reus will play.
When the attacking midfielder plays well, his team tend to play well. In a campaign that will see Thomas Tuchel try to reclaim some former ground at the top of the Bundesliga title, goals from Reus are effectively essential to any success.
Fortunately for Black and Yellow fans, Reus looks set to boost his tally of 11 goals from last season by quite some margin. The German international could reach as high as 25 goals in the 2015/16 campaign, and here's why.
He'll Most Likely Be Playing Further Up the Field

Perhaps the most notable factor to consider for the coming season is the fact that Tuchel may well choose to play Reus as a proper striker alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
On a number of occasions, the new manager has varied from the traditional 4-2-3-1 formation in favour of a 4-4-2 diamond or inverted 4-3-3, which has seen the two aforementioned strikers playing in a partnership up front.
Should Tuchel stick with this formation, or just use it more regularly, it will still offer far more opportunities for Reus to get in the box compared to last season.
Tuchel's Side Will Be Far More Efficient Than Klopp's

Aside from the formations that may play a large part in Reus' coming season there is of course the overall tactic of Tuchel's new side.
Gone are the days of Jurgen Klopp football, which in their final days resembled inaccurate punts up the park and offered very little for the wide forward to work with.
Alternatively this new-look Dortmund side prefer to play with the ball on the ground, and as such, Reus has looked back to his best despite only playing a handful of games under Tuchel this summer.
The German international suits the football Tuchel preaches, and he'll benefit from it this season.
He Looks in Far Better Shape Compared to Last Season

As is unfortunately a recurring problem with Reus' career, the young forward is stuck having to contend with time off the pitch injured more often than any other obstacle.
In last year's campaign, he missed 14 of Dortmund's 34 league matches and often looked unfit for many more in which he started.
However, we've seen much more of the forward throughout this Dortmund pre-season campaign, and he looks as though he's finally back to full match fitness. With a full, well-prepared summer behind him, we could well see one of the most injury-free seasons of Reus' career.
If so, plenty more goals will follow.
