Cena will have the final match of his legendary career this weekend at Saturday Night's Main Event, but that won't mark the end of his involvement with WWE.

In an interview this week with Fox Sports' Tom Rinaldi on the WWE YouTube channel (beginning at the 36:45 mark), Cena divulged that he signed a five-year ambassador contract with WWE:

Cena said he told WWE he wanted to be signed on with the company as an ambassador for "as long as [they] can do it," noting that he wanted to be part of WWE as an employee in some capacity for as long as possible.

Last year, Cena announced that 2025 would be his final year as an in-ring performer, and based on everything he has said since then, he is intent on remaining true to his word.

Cena will wrestle the final match of his career at Saturday Night's Main Event in Washington, D.C., against Gunther, who won the Last Time Is Now tournament to earn the opportunity.

Gunther beat LA Knight in the finals of the tournament last week on SmackDown by making Knight tap out to a cravat submission hold.

Since then, Gunther has made it his stated goal to embarrass Cena in his final match by making the 17-time world champion tap out as well.

Regardless of how the match plays out, it will mark the end of an era, but Cena's comments suggest he will continue to be part of the WWE family for many years to come even after his time as a wrestler is over.

AJ Lee Reportedly Tabbed for Royal Rumble

AJ Lee has already accomplished several career firsts since returning to WWE in September, and another one is reportedly on the horizon.

According to WrestleVotes (h/t Felix Upton of Ringside News), Lee is slated to be in the women's Royal Rumble match at the Royal Rumble premium live event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Jan. 31.

Since returning from a decade-long retirement, Lee has competed in a pair of high-profile matches.

Her first bout back was a tag team match with her husband, CM Punk, against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. Then, Lee was part of her first WarGames match at Survivor Series, winning the match for her team by making Lynch tap out.

It isn't yet clear what the plans are for AJ at WrestleMania 42, but it seems like a strong possibility that her and Lynch could face off in a singles match since they have yet to do so and their rivalry appears far from over.

One way to set up that match would be for The Man to eliminate Lee from the Rumble in an underhanded way, or for AJ to eliminate Becky, which would compel Lynch to seek out revenge.

Lee and Lynch are undoubtedly two of the biggest stars the WWE women's division has to offer, and their presence could help make the 2026 edition of the women's Royal Rumble more compelling than every one that came before it.

Uncertainty Surrounding Future of WWE's Video Library

When WWE's streaming deal with Peacock expires at the end of 2025, it will require the company to find a new home for its vast video library.

According to Fightful Select (h/t Fightful's Jeremy Lambert), WWE has yet to make an official announcement regarding where the library will end up, but sources within the company view YouTube as the likely landing spot.

WWE has two "Vault" channels on YouTube called WWE Vault and WCW Vault, and the company has already uploaded many old pay-per-views, matches and other videos onto those channels.

Sources in WWE reportedly expect WWE's classic content to be "slowly rolled out" onto the Vault channels once Peacock is no longer home to the video library.

That means it may not be possible for fans to access any pay-per-view or show from the past that they want to see until WWE decides to put them on YouTube.

One of the biggest selling points of the original WWE Network was that fans could watch any past pay-per-view at any time, along with tons of other old content.

YouTube could eventually become the same thing for WWE and its fans, but if there is indeed a slow roll out, it could potentially be months or even years before the entire library makes its way to YouTube.
