AEW Full Gear 2025 Results, Winners, Live Grades, Reaction and Highlights

Kevin BergeNov 22, 2025

AEW Full Gear 2025 brought All Elite Wrestling back to the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey for a night of major championship action.

This show featured Hangman Adam Page vs. Samoa Joe inside a Steel Cage, Kris Statlander vs. Mercedes Moné, Brodido vs. FTR and the final battle between Kyle Fletcher and Mark Briscoe for the TNT Championship.

"Timeless" Toni Storm, Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, Darby Allin and more would also be in action.

This was a night that had a chance to redefine AEW. The stars were aligning for huge moments that would change the course of multiple top stables.

Following are all the results from Full Gear including grades, reactions and all of the major highlights.

TB - $200,000 Prize: BBG vs. Outrunners vs. Bowens and Caster vs. Bill and Keith

1 of 14

Last Time in Action: Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn defeated FTR (Collision, November 8); Anthony Bowens and Max Caster lost to Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita (Collision, November 1); Big Bill and Bryan Keith lost to Bowens and Caster (Collision, October 11); The Outrunners with Dalton Castle defeated Corey Sparks, Cowpoke Paul and KM (Collision, September 27).

After a fast-paced and spirited opener, Juice managed to catch Bowens with a roll-up for the three count, winning all the money for his and Gunn's 401K investments.

Four matches for a one-hour block may just be too much for AEW to manage, and this contest suffered from having to cram in action from eight men in too short a time.

The heavy story focus was on Bowens and Caster still struggling to get on the same page while everyone else worked around their arguments.

Bang Bang Gang recently pinned FTR and follow up with a big money victory. This could be a good sign for their immediate future.

Juice and Austin going after the winner of World Tag Team Championships match would at least work as a good TV bout soon, perhaps even making the Worlds End card.

Bill and Keith have lost some momentum lately without strong character direction. Hopefully, there is a stronger plan soon for two talented men in a well established team.

Result

Juice and Gunn def. Bowens and Caster, Bill and Keith and Turbo and Truth by pinfall to earn $200,000.

Notable Moments and Observations

  • Castle joined commentary in support of The Outrunners. He advised that he, Turbo and Truth needed to pay off their debts from Myrtle Beach adventures.
  • Ace Austin also came to support his group and celebrated their victory afterward.
  • Caster had the whole crowd joining in on his chant until Bowens told him to stop.
  • Bill cut off Caster and Bowens from scissoring for the first time in months.
  • Bowens was absolutely incensed after loss and yelled at Caster outside the ring.
  • Tailgate Brawl - Boom and Doom vs. RPG Vice

    2 of 14
Big Boom AJ continued his winning ways on AEW's PPV pre-shows at Full Gear.

Last Time in Action: Trent Beretta, Rocky Romero, Lance Archer and Hechicero lost to AJ, Hologram, Kyle O'Reilly and Tomohiro Ishii (All In Texas: Zero Hour, July 12). This is the first time Big Boom AJ and QT Marshall have teamed together.

With an assist from Big Justice and a right hand from Paul Wight, QT Marshall and Big Boom AJ hit a Doomsday Blockbuster for the victory on Beretta.

This is the best RPG Vice have looked in AEW in a long time. It helps when AEW typically gives these irregular AJ matches time to deliver.

While these matches are not the typical AEW style, the crowd always reacts to the action and is invested in the messy and silly finishes.

As a pure addition to the Tailgate Brawl, there is nothing wrong with these matches, but at some point, AEW will need to do more with AJ or stop giving these segments quite so much time.

If anything, the most interesting element is Justice, who still cannot wrestle in the ring but is getting more involved physically. He might be a diamond in the rough for AEW in the future if he can fully figure it out.

    Result

AJ and Marshall def. Beretta and Romero by pinfall.

    Grade

    C

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • Wight joined commentary in support of the Costco Guys. He and Don Callis exchanged verbal barbs throughout the match.
  • The crowd was in for everything AJ did in this match.
  • Beretta has not wrestled much in the past few months, and he wore a cast on his left hand for this contest.
  • Beretta nearly took the upset after blasting AJ with his cast then hitting a Buisaku Knee.
  • Justice showed off his latest new move, the Diamond Cutter, on Romero.
  • Backstage, Callis refused to be worried about The Family's loss, focusing on all the wins coming. He also continued to talk up The Young Bucks.
  • Tailgate Brawl - Eddie Kingston and Hook vs. The WorkHorsemen

    3 of 14
Eddie Kingston and Hook continue to dominate as a duo.

Last Time in Action: Eddie Kingston and Hook alongside Hangman Adam Page lost to The Opps (Dynamite, November 5); Anthony Henry and JD Drake lost to Powerhouse Hobbs and Samoa Joe (All Out: Tailgate Brawl, September 20).

The WorkHorsemen brought the fight to Hook and Eddie right away, but The Mad King was not having it. He put away Henry with a DDT for the victory.

Not much to see here. Clearly, this match suffered the most from the tight timetable for the night, and this became more of a squash than AEW typically even puts on TV.

Henry and Drake never had a chance against Kingston and Hook, but it would be nice to see a complete match between the teams.

The WorkHorsemen have shown that they can do a lot with limited time, but no one was going to make anything of this format.

Hook and Kingston still have work to do to sell themselves as a tag team and could use more serious challenges from established teams.

    Result

Kingston and Hook def. Henry and Drake by pinall.

    Grade

    D

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • Samoa Joe revealed in the parking lot that he had brought the whole Opps Dojo to help him deal with Hangman Adam Page.
  • Eddie didn't even take off his hat before the brawling started.

TB - CMLL World Trios Championships: El Sky Team (c) vs. The Don Callis Family

    4 of 14
Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita continued to struggle to work together, even with gold on the line.

Last Time in Action: Kazuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshita and Hechicero alongside Josh Alexander defeated Brodido and JetSpeed (Dynamite, August 27).

Okada was not in the building as Takeshita and Hechicero made their entrances, but Hechicero used a steel chair to injure Místico's shoulder before the match could start.

The contest started as a tag team match before The Rainmaker finally arrived in his Ferrari and made his slow entrance to the ring, complete with pyro.

Alex Abrahantes helped Místico return to this match to turn the tide. After Okada and Takeshita continues to struggle, El Principe de Plata y Oro made Hechicero tap out to La Mística.

Okada and Takeshita's conflict remains AEW's most compelling angle, and the entire presentation of this match played into that story.

This was the most they have struggled to get along in any match. With the Continental Classic starting soon, the time is rapidly approaching for them to truly collide.

Máscara Dorada got a much better outing working tonight than his sloppier clash with Okada on Dynamite.

That said, this was about Místico more than anyone else on Sky Team. He was the returning hero and was far too much for Hechicero to handle down the stretch.

AEW's partnership with CMLL continues to deliver strong matches and moments. Hopefully though, CMLL title matches like this on AEW programming are less rushed in the future.

    Result

Místico, Dorada and Neón def. Hechicero, Okada and Takeshita by submission to retain the CMLL World Trios Championships.

    Grade

    B+

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • This was the second Tailgate Brawl in a row where the last match bled into the main PPV. This may become AEW's usual.
    • Hechicero had to beg the two men to work together, but Okada still gave Takeshita the middle finger.
    • Okada hit his own partner Takeshita multiple times and only smiled afterward.
    • Afterward, The Rainmaker begged off The Alpha until Callis helped Okada to the back.

    Darby Allin vs. Pac

    5 of 14

Last Time in Action: Pac won with Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta against Jay Lethal, Adam Priest and Tommy Billington (Collision, November 15); Darby Allin alongside The Conglomeration and Roderick Strong defeated The Death Riders (Dynamite Blood and Guts, November 12).

Allin refused to give up no matter what Pac threw at him. The Daredevil finally managed to lock in his Scorpion Deathlock, but The Bastad called in Yuta.

He distracted Allin and the referee to allow Pac to hit him with Sting's bat and get the three count.

It should be no surprise that Pac and Allin delivered a great match together, Allin's bumps for Pac made him look like a destroyer more than anything else in years.

Because of the stacked card, this may be a forgotten contest by the end of the night, but it delivered exactly what it needed to for the stories to come and talent involved.

No matter how much he may not look it, Allin has established himself as a main event act in AEW, who is likely to win the Men's World Championship in the next year.

This loss makes sure that his fight with The Death Riders is not done while protecting him since Pac went back on his word and failed to out-wrestle The Daredevil, winning with cheap tactics instead.

It was an important win for Pac, who has suffered tough losses recently. He not only defeated a top man in AEW but did what Jon Moxley could not.

In the immediately world title picture, that could set up a return to one of AEW's original rivalries, Hangman Adam Page vs. Pac.

    Result

    Pac def. Allin by pinfall.

    Grade

    A-

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • Allin arrived after a dramatic video package, showcasing his anger and recovery time after Blood and Guts.
  • The Daredevil was heavily bandaged for this contest. Pac slowly ripped them away and scratched at the visible burns.
  • Allin took some scary bumps in this including a military press off the apron to the floor and toss into the steel post to the outside.
  • The crowd chanted "You can't kill him!" as Allin kept fighting.
  • Allin was the first man to kick out of Pac's rebound clothesline in a wild near-fall that could have easily finished the contest.
  • Timeless Love Bombs vs. Sisters of Sin vs. Babes of Wrath vs. Bayne and Shafir

    6 of 14
The Timeless Love Bombs continue to gel as an unstoppable team.

Last Time in Action: "Timeless" Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa defeated Alex Windsor and Riho while Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir defeated TayJay to advance in Women's World Tag Team Championship Tournament (Dynamite, November 19); Skye Blue, Julia Hart, Thekla, Bayne, Shafir and Mercedes Moné defeated Willow Nightingale, Harley Cameron, Storm, Mina, Jamie Hayter and Kris Statlander (Dynamite Blood and Guts, November 12).

After early stretches dominated by Bayne and Shafir as well as The Sisters of Sin, Storm took the ring and would not let it go.

The Timeless One and The Wrath went back-and-forth with pinning attempts that ended with Storm catching Harley with the Big Package to win.

It was good for AEW to get the women on the card in any form, even if it would have been ideal for this to be where the Women's World Tag Team Championships tournament final happened.

Instead, this was more fun than dramatic. The stakes were not high, and the result was expected.

Storm and Mina needed a more vicious stipulation for their fight with Bayne and Shafir given the growing heat between the teams.

Whatever they choose should protect Bayne and Shafir in the expected loss to come. Signs point to Timeless Love Bombs vs. Sisters of Sin for the final.

Still, everyone got time to shine, and all fours teams made their case for why they could potentially win the Women's World Tag Team Championships soon.

    Result

Storm and Mina def. Harley and Willow, Hart and Blue and Bayne and Shafir by pinfall to earn the right to choose the stipulation for their semifinals tournament match.

    Grade

    B-

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • While the heels seemed to work together initially, The Sisters of Sin gladly took the first shots at Bayne and Shafir when they needed to.
  • Bayne held Storm while Shafir locked in Mother's Milk on Mina, but The Timeless One fought out to save her wife.
  • It took a while for The Timeless Love Bombs and Babes of Wrath to exchange blows, but the final stretch was heavily focused on Storm and Harley.
  • World Tag Team Championships: Brodido (c) vs. FTR

    7 of 14
Brodido continue a phenomenal run as World tag team champions.

Last Time in Action: Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler and LFI lost to Bandido, Juice Robinson and JetSpeed (Collision, November 15); Brody King and Bandido successfully defend the World Tag Team Championships against Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita (WrestleDream, October 18)

Bandido and King kept fighting no matter what FTR threw at them, but the experience of Dax and Cash was too much for Brodido to overcome.

After multiple times attempting to take out King, they took out the big man with a spike piledriver on the apron.

This left Bandido to take a spike piledriver followed by a Shatter Machine to seal the victory.

This was an incredible match that highlighted how good every man in this contest is. While FTR overwhelmed Brodido by the end, this was absolutely about Bandido throughout.

He fought through everything Dax and Cash could throw at him, taking multiple tag-team finishers to take him down in what was often a handicap match.

It is a shame that Brodido's title reign is over, but hopefully AEW will continue to highlight them individual and as a unit.

Obviously, Bandido is still ROH world champion, so he has plenty to work with. King though should not be forgotten.

This FTR win sets the stage for the return of Adam Copeland and Christian Cage, and it is unlikely anyone will beat them until they fight Cage and Cope again.

    Result

Dax and Cash def. Bandido and King by pinfall to become the new World tag team champions.

    Grade

    A

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • Bandido body slammed King onto Dax to the joy of the crowd, but King was not ready to Macarena afterward.
  • Big Stoke saved Cash from a diving King, taking it himself and inspiring a "Stokely's dead!" chant.
  • Bandido went two-on-one with FTR for a while in this with King recovering. FTR finally hit him with the Shatter Machine, but King broke up the pin.
  • In a wild near-fall, FTR got Bandido up for a Doomsday Device, but Bandido managed to shift the impact and nearly pin Cash.
  • After Bandido kicked out of the spike piledriver, he stood up and aimed his hand guns at both men for an iconic image of fighting spirit before the end.
  • National Championship Casino Gauntlet

    8 of 14
Ricochet backed up his words with action in the Casino Gauntlet, capturing his first AEW gold.

Wrestlers Involved in Order of Arrival: Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, Ricochet, Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia, Orange Cassidy, Wheeler Yuta, Kevin Knight, Roderick Strong, Mark Davis, "Speedball" Mike Bailey, "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard.

While Lashley and Benjamin opened the match, they took it slow with basic grappling. Ricochet arrived and sent GOA out to take out all of The Hurt Syndicate.

It took a while for The All Mighty and Gold Standard to get back into the action, but there were too many wrestlers involved to allow The Hurt Syndicate to stay dominant.

Ricochet slipped in at the end, catching Kevin Knight with The Spirit Gun for the victory.

It would have been cool to see some surprise entrants in the Casino Gauntlet, but the entrants were carefully chosen for the story of each encounter.

While the build-up was focused on The Hurt Syndicate vs. The Demand, this quickly became all Death Riders for the long stretch, keeping the momentum from Blood and Guts.

Castagnoli was especially the leader in this contest, looking more like The Death Riders' leader than Jon Moxley has looked in months.

Ricochet's win was a surprise but not an unwelcome one. The One and Only has taken some tough losses recently but gets more back with his victory.

He will now need to show that he can stay strong with a championship hanging in the balance. GOA alone cannot save him from many potential challengers with friends.

Ricochet has earned this shot to run with gold in AEW, and it would be shocking if he does not deliver given what he has done in the ring and on the mic since his arrival in the company.

    Result

Ricochet wins the Casino Gauntlet to become the inaugural National champion.

    Grade

    B

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • While GOA attacked Shelton and Lashley, Ricochet focused on MVP, who had to be helped to the back.
  • The crowd had its usual "bald" fun with Ricochet starting, especially with Castagnoli in at four.
  • Once Castagnoli, Garcia and Yuta were all in the match, they beat up Cassidy together then beat down Ricochet after he tried to team up with them.
  • Shortly after his arrival, Davis popped up Cassidy into one of the best looking piledrivers in AEW.
  • Knight broke up Speedball's pin attempt on Davis. After a flurry of other wrestlers, JetSpeed went at it, broken up by Red Death.
  • Garcia's face changed when Daddy Magic arrived, beating up Red Death and sending him running into the crowd.
  • The "Meat" chants began as Castagnoli and Davis faced off, but Benjamin and Lashley finally returned to the ring, throwing around everyone to "We hurt people!" chants.
  • No Holds Barred: Jon Moxley vs. Kyle O'Reilly

    9 of 14
Kyle O'Reilly continued to show he could make Jon Moxley tap out to the ankle lock.

Last Time in Action: Jon Moxley with Claudio Castagnoli defeated Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong (Dynamite, November 19); Kyle O'Reilly with Cassidy, Mark Briscoe, Strong and Darby Allin made Mox tap out for The Death Riders (Dynamite Blood and Guts, November 12).

Jon Moxley had a plan and carried himself with confidence against Kyle O'Reilly, but nothing he could do was going to stop KOR from tapping him out with an ankle lock again at the end of this bloody technical battle.

While Mox gave a nod of respect to KOR afterward, he still attacked a vulnerable O'Reilly, kicked at his injured left arm until The Conglomeration made the save.

This match was not made for all fans, but it was able to fully make O'Reilly, who came out of this looking like an untouchable grappler.

Every time Mox tried to catch him, KOR had an answer, turning it around into his own submission moves.

He was only further elevated by commentary selling his left arm injury, making it seem like KOR had truly won this with one arm.

The hardcore aspect of this match was mainly just the use of a fork, but it was certainly utilized liberally by both men to cause uncomfortable levels of blood.

This was as close to a pure technical battle as AEW typically sees without NJPW's Zack Sabre Jr. involved, and it is hard to imagine anyone but ZSJ beating KOR in this contest in AEW any time soon.

    Result

    O'Reilly def. Mox by submission.

    Grade

    A-

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • Commentary quickly sold that the No Holds Barred stipulation was chosen to specifically clarify what kind of illegal moves could be utilized.
  • Bryan Danielson was consistently the strongest commentator in this match due to his experience with these men and their grappling focus.
  • Mox though turned this into his own "death jitsu" by utilizing a fork to break up and stab KOR everywhere, leaving him a bloody mess.
  • O'Reilly got a hold of Mox's fork as the match progressed and visibly broke him open with the utensil even more.
  • The Death Rider stomped a steel chair into the elbow of KOR, leading to Tony Schiavone declaring he may be a one-armed man for the rest of this match.
  • TNT Championship - No DQ: Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Mark Briscoe

    10 of 14

Last Time in Action: Kyle Fletcher successfully defended the TNT Championship against Scorpio Sky, and Mark Briscoe defeated Mark Davis (Collision, November 15).

Kyle Fletcher showed his grit and brutality in a vicious, bloody affair, kicking out of multiple insane spots in this match.

However, Chicken simply would not give up, finally finding the answer to The Protostar with a crucifix powerbomb through a barbed wire table and a Jay Driller on thumbtacks to win.

AEW paired up the blood baths for the night, making this contest feel less visceral in comparison to spot, but this match has significantly more time and big spots to compensate.

The weapons flowed early and often in this contest, setting up multiple memorable moments throughout the run time.

In certain ways, this felt more like it was trying to one-up Briscoe's Tables and Thumbtacks match with MJF earlier in the year.

In terms of insane spots, this did outshine that contest, though this went long in a way that could be felt down the stretch.

It was good as a whole with multiple spots that will live in AEW highlight reels for years, but this one could have focused more on the emotional journey of Briscoe to his first AEW championship by the home stretch.

The result could have gone either way, but it is great to see Chicken finally holding true AEW gold. He will make the most of the spotlight and deliver great matches against anyone.

It is a shame Fletcher did not break the defense record for the TNT Championship, but it gives him something to strive for as he keeps building his legacy.

    Result

Briscoe def. Fletcher by pinfall to win the TNT Championship.

    Grade

    B-

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • Before the match, in a pre-tape, Chicken talked about what mattered most to him: family, friends and God.
  • Don Callis on commentary said he had big plans for Briscoe in The Family, but he reveled in what looked to be serious injuries for Chicken.
  • Briscoe was dripping so much blood from his forehead that it was hard to tell if Fletcher had his or his opponent's blood all over his face.
  • Some wild spots in this one: Fletcher knocked Briscoe off the top rope through a ringside table, both men taking multiple back bumps on the thumbtacks, and teasing a brainbuster through a screwdriver in the turnbuckle.
  • In the wildest near-fall of the match, Briscoe sent Fletcher through a table with a Froggy Bow off a tall ladder.
  • Callis showed he was a full psychopath when he yelled "take his eye" as Fletcher stabbed Briscoe with a screwdriver.
  • $1,000,000 Prize: Jurassic Express and Kenny Omega vs. Young Bucks and Josh Alexander

    11 of 14
Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks stood on opposite sides at Full Gear.

Last Time in Action: Josh Alexander, Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson defeated SkyFlight (Dynamite, November 19); Kenny Omega, "Jungle" Jack Perry and Luchasaurus defeated The Don Callis Family (Dynamite, October 15).

After a wild trios battle, Omega managed to get his personal revenge on Alexander with a One Winged Angel, but The Young Bucks sealed the victory with a BTE Trigger on Perry.

Afterward, Don Callis tried to lead away Matt and Nick while The Family attacked the ankle of The Cleaner.

The Young Bucks made their decision and turned on Callis and his Family, saving Omega. The Elite shared a hug then helped Omega to the back with Jurassic Express.

On the eve of Thanksgiving, The Young Bucks learned that friendship is more important than any amount of money, and it is a beautiful thing.

It is never a surprise when a match featuring Omega and The Young Bucks, but this was especially all about Matt and Nick.

They were the leading stars in this action, setting and carrying out a frantic pace throughout. Their transitions are second to no one in tag team wrestling.

It was nice to see that action rewarded with a big win on PPV, even if they ended up walking out without the money they earned.

Everyone was good here though, and it was a huge spotlight for Alexander as well, who has found his opening to rise to the top level in The Family by bringing so much money to Callis.

This contest ended with The Elite back together but The Family stronger than ever. There are plenty of exciting possibilities from here for what is about to become a serious stable war.

    Result

Matt, Nick and Alexander def. Perry, Luchasaurus and Omega by pinfall to earn $1,000,000.

    Grade

    B+

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • Callis remained on commentary to hate on Omega and consider what he would do with "his" money.
    • The Young Bucks continue to deliver unique entrances, this time coming out a "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" wheel spin, promising a money win.
    • Matt and Nick took out Omega with a BTE Trigger while Alexander had him grapevined in an ankle lock. The Cleaner refused to tap out, making the ropes.
    • Alexander took out Perry mid-Countdown to Extinction on Nick. In a flurry of action afterward, Jurassic Express reset to hit their finish, but The Walking Weapon broke up the pin attempt.
    • Before Omega finally accepted the hug, "power of friendship" and "hug it out" chants rang out.
    • Callis made clear he was keeping all of the money since The Young Bucks betrayed him.

Women's World Championship: Kris Statlander (c) vs. Mercedes Moné

    12 of 14

Last Time in Action: Mercedes Moné successfully unified the ROH Women's World Television Championship against Red Velvet (Collision, November 19); Kris Statlander alongside "Timeless" Toni Storm, Mina Shirakawa, Jamie Hayter, Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron lost to Moné, Triangle of Madness, Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir (Dynamite Blood and Guts, November 12).

Moné threw everything she could at Stat throughout this battle, but the champion worked smarter and stronger

These women have so much chemistry in the ring, and it showed once again in a match that delivered a worthy conclusion to one of AEW's best in-ring trilogies.

They started fast and never allowed their pace to slow too much with an inconsistent crowd reaction.

The CEO especially felt the crowd waning and found ways to amp them up throughout. It was a showcase of her greatness once again.

What was most important in this match was to highlight Stat's evolution from their previous two matches to now, and they did exactly that.

Even with an kayfabe injury slowing her down, she looked more confident and proved to be too much for Moné, finally getting a win back from The CEO.

This had to be the result, further selling that Moné is not ready for the world title yet. She will likely not get that championship until she loses most of her others.

One thing to watch is the crowds' continued support of The CEO. AEW fans sound ready to embrace a face turn for her sooner than later.

    Result

Stat def. Moné by pinfall to retain the Women's World Championship.

    Grade

    A

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • Statlander seemed to land badly on her left forearm early, setting up a strong focused attack from The CEO on the arm.
  • The crowd was quiet for this early, worn down on what was becoming a late night, but The CEO awoke the crowd with a wild 14 Amigos.
  • Moné dominated a long stretch of this until Stat caught her with a Blue Thunder Bomb off the apron to the floor.
  • This set up a possible count-out win for Stat, but in a reversed image from their match a year ago, The CEO slipped back in just after nine.
  • Stat locked in a Statement Maker on Moné, but The CEO stretched the injured hand of the champion and turned it into her own Statement Maker.
  • The champion almost put Moné away with a Package Piledriver, but The CEO barely got her hand on the rope.
  • The CEO nearly took it herself after a Poisonrana and Meteora off the bottom rope, but Stat kicked out.
  • Men's World Championship: Hangman Adam Page (c) vs. Samoa Joe

    13 of 14

Last Time in Action: Hangman Adam Page defeated Katsuyori Shibata (Dynamite, November 19); Samoa Joe with Shibata and Powerhouse Hobbs successfully defended the World Trios Championships against Hangman, Eddie Kingston and Hook (Dynamite, November 5).

Hangman Adam Page fought with every fiber of his being to keep his Men's World Championship, but The Opps had too many tricks up their sleeves.

After The Cowboy took out both Katsuyori Shibata and Powerhouse Hobbs, Hook arrived and blasted Hangman to set up a Muscle Buster for the victory.

As The Opps celebrated, the lights went out, and Swerve Strickland arrived with Prince Nana. Joe retreated as The Mogul laid out The Opps Dojo members. He stood alongside The Cowboy in the ring.

Usually, the quality of the main event match is what matters most, but on this night, this was all about the story.

Joe and Hangman had a solid bloody battle inside the steel cage that clearly showcased that The Cowboy is better than Joe on his own.

However, The Opps aligned, adding a much needed fourth member for this group in The Handsome Devil.

This Hook twist was much needed as his alliance with Eddie Kingston had not been fully working. Instead, Hook aligns with his best allies and gets to test how good a heel he can be.

Moreover, Swerve is back, and he came back bigger and scarier than ever. Aligning him and Hangman with a new common enemy is a perfect hook for AEW going into 2026.

The Cowboy's title reign still had juice, but it is better to take a new path that hooks fans over running until the wheels fall off.

Hangman will rebound smoothly, especially with his enemy turned ally at his back. Both are exciting challengers for Joe into the future, and The Opps have aligned to create a force strong enough to contest two of AEW's best.

If AEW can hold firm on this long enough, bringing back Will Ospreay and putting The Cowboy, The Mogul and The Aerial Assassin together could be AEW's biggest story to date.

Joe is still one of wrestling's scariest villains of all time, and he will make the most of battling anyone and everyone as the new standard for all of AEW's top faces to meet.

This is one of those energizing endings where the villains won but the tantalizing stories to come are too cool to worry about anything else.

    Result

Joe def. Hangman by pinfall to become the new Men's world champion.

    Grade

    A-

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • Hangman came out with a red-tinged titantron and "American Venom" from Red Dead Redemption 2. Since this is also the title of the epilogue in RDR2, this could have been a hint of what was to come.
    • Joe bled heavily and consistently early in this match, leaving crimson everywhere especially on the white ropes and ring.
    • Hangman was also broken open, but it was hard to tell how much was his blood versus Joe's.
    • Despite The Cowboy declaring he took out Shibata, The Wrestler arrived to get involved. Eddie Kingston fought him off.
    • Referee Paul Turner went down after colliding with the cage. Hangman caught him with a Dead Eye and Buckshot Lariat with no count possible.
    • Swerve came out with a new theme and

Samoa Joe stands atop AEW as a world and trios champion after Full Gear.

Full Gear had the weakest PPV card of any AEW show this year on paper, yet coming out of this show, AEW has delivered multiple massive story threads that have changed the company's direction.

This may actually go down as one of the most important shows of the entire year for the company.

Samoa Joe has captured the Men's World Championship, and multiple stars are lining up as exciting challengers for his new reign.

The Don Callis Family should be stronger than ever, yet the infighting is about to play out in a big way in the Continental Classic.

The Elite have realigned with plenty of enemies to compete against. The tag team division is on fire including the new champions FTR, the former champs Brodido, The Young Bucks, Jurassic Express and more.

Kris Statlander vs. Mercedes Moné delivered another match of the year contender that sold Stat as the gold standard of AEW's women's division.

The women's tag team division continues to deliver in a strong tournament that will crown worthy champions soon.

Mark Briscoe and Ricochet are new champions with plenty to prove and so many exciting challengers.

Everything feels like it on the rise again, and that is a very exciting proposition as AEW had rested a bit on its laurels storywise after All In.
