Adrian Wojnarowski Launches 'The Program with Woj' to Raise St. Bonaventure NIL Money
Former ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski is returning to the media game.
The St. Bonaventure men's basketball general manager is launching a new YouTube series called "The Program with Woj," The Athletic's Andrew Marchand reported Wednesday.
The series will feature Wojnarowski interviewing "big-name team builders" in order to raise money for the St. Bonaventure NIL fund, Marchand reported.

"I'm learning a lot in this GM role at St. Bonaventure and want to explore my new world with a lot of the innovative team-building minds in sports," Wojnarowski told Marchand. "My financial motivation with 'The Program' is simply to raise revenue to be distributed directly back to our players on campus."
Episodes of "The Program with Woj" will be released weekly, Marchand reported.
Wojnarowski announced last September that he would be leaving ESPN in order to return to his alma mater St. Bonaventure as the men's basketball general manager.
At the time, Wojnarowski reportedly had three years and about $20 million remaining on his contract from ESPN.
He is now the first general manager in history for the A-10 program, which went 22-12 last season in its 18th campaign under head coach Mark Schmidt. The Bonnies haven't made the NCAA Tournament since 2021.
Wojnarowski spoke with Ben Portnoy of Sports Business Journal in April about the difficulty of building up a program with limited NIL resources.
"The biggest thing for us in getting these deals done is we have to get value on every contract," Wojnarowski told Portnoy. "I have to get high-major players for mid-major money."
Wojnarowski has accordingly spent his first few months as general manager developing ways to increase NIL funding for St. Bonaventure.
One method was a partnership with sports tech company Players Health, which agreed to pay out incentive-based bonuses on some St. Bonaventure player contracts in exchange for a premium paid up front, Portnoy reported in April.
Another was a February auction in which Wojnarowski auctioned off personal memorabilia, including some of the old phones he used to break NBA trade news, in order to benefit the men's basketball program.
St. Bonaventure then launched in June the "Bonnies Basketball Excellence Fund," through which donors can directly contribute to either program.
The upcoming YouTube series looks like Wojnarowski's latest method of drumming up some additional fundraising for his program. The series will be sponsored by Novig, a peer-to-peer sports betting app, per Marchand.
