Ashton Jeanty, Jeremiyah Love, NFL Injury Statuses and Fantasy Impact for Week 1

Two of the best young running backs in the NFL will be on the field for their respective season openers on Sunday.

Ashton Jeanty was a full participant in Friday's practice. He is expected to receive a heavy workload in a Las Vegas Raiders offense without Brock Bowers.

Jeremiyah Love will be the focal point of the Arizona Cardinals offense at some point this season. At least for Week 1, it's a huge positive for him to be on the field.

Ashton Jeanty Participates In Practice All Week

Ashton Jeanty's been a full participant in Raiders practice all week, a positive sign after he suffered an ankle injury in the preseason.

Jeanty is expected to receive a massive workload in the Raiders offense this season, no matter if Kirk Cousins or Fernando Mendoza is the quarterback.

Las Vegas' offense is weakened for the Week 1 clash with the Miami Dolphins because of Brock Bowers' injury absence.

Cousins will be working with one of the worst wide receiver groups in the league with Tre Tucker, Jalen Nailor and Jack Bech among the pass-catchers at his disposal.

Jeanty averaged 15.6 carries per game in his rookie season. We should expect a similar workload against Miami in a battle of two teams expected to be near the bottom of the AFC standings.

The Raiders could err on the side of caution and let preseason breakout Mike Washington Jr. earn more snaps, but if Jeanty is healthy, he should be out on the field.

The other concern with Jeanty is that he'll be the primary focus of the Miami defense. That might limit his production from a fantasy football perspective.

He's certainly capable of breaking a few big runs and finding the end zone, but to do so, he might have to get through a loaded Miami box.

Jeremiyah Love Will Play In Season Opener

Jeremiyah Love is expected to play for the Arizona Cardinals in what will be his NFL debut on Sunday.

Love enters the league with high expectations after his incredible campaign at Notre Dame that had him in the Heisman Trophy mix.

The rookie running back does have a tough matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

A high rushing-yard total is unexpected for the rookie because of the matchup, but he might be valuable in points-per-reception leagues.

Jacoby Brissett will probably be forced into a good amount of checkdown throws in long-yardage situations. Love could be a vital safety valve for the veteran quarterback.

Love, who had 55 receptions in his last two years at Notre Dame, could be valuable FLEX or RB2 in PPR leagues throughout the season because Arizona is expected to play from behind in most games.
