Reaction
Europe became the first team in Ryder Cup history to win all four team sessions as an away team.
The Europeans finished off the day with a spectacular shot from Matt Fitzpatrick out of the fairway bunker at No. 18. He had a short birdie putt to win Saturday's final match 1 UP.
Fitzpatrick won alongside Tyreell Hatton, who is one of four European players with three or more points at Bethpage.
Tommy Fleetwood has been Europe's best player, and at one point on Saturday afternoon, he had more points on his own than the Americans had as a team.
Rory McIlroy produced 3.5 points, while Jon Rahm and Hatton each have three points.
The Ryder Cup didn't get any better for the American stars, though. Scottie Scheffler lost twice on Saturday, once alongside Bryson DeChambeau.
Scheffler, DeChambeau and the rest of the American team must produce a Herculean comeback on Sunday just to keep the score close.
Europe will try to hammer home the victory, potentially one similar to the 19-9 triumph the Americans had in 2021.
