Speaking to reporters last week at the World Athletics Championships, Bolt explained that he will "get out of breath" walking up stairs because his workouts have been limited due to his Achilles injury.
"I think when I start working on it fully again, I will probably have to do some laps just to get my breathing right," said Bolt.
The injury occurred in June 2024 when Bolt was playing a charity exhibition soccer game in London. He had to be taken off the field during the match.
Bolt said his workout routine has mostly consisted of gym work, even though he is "not a fan" of them. He also explained his morning activities largely consist of seeing his kids off to school and, depending on his schedule, watching "some series and chill until the kids come home."
Now 39 years old, Bolt retired from competition in 2017 after the IAAF World Athletics Championships. He won eight Olympic gold medals between 2008 to '16, along with 11 golds at the World Championships.
Bolt remains the world record holder in the men's 100 meters (9.58 seconds) and men's 200 meters (19.19 seconds). He was also part of the Jamaican 4x100 team at the 2012 Olympics that set the world record with a time of 36.84 seconds.
