Randy Orton, John Cena, Brock Lesnar's Original Plans for WWE Wrestlepalooza Reported
Plans reportedly changed for multiple top WWE Superstars ahead of this past Saturday's Wrestlepalooza event on ESPN.
According to a report by BodySlam.net (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News), Randy Orton was originally set to "accidentally" cost Cody Rhodes the Undisputed WWE Championship in his main-event match against Drew McIntyre, but it was later decided that Rhodes would retain the title in a clean finish.
The original version of the plan, which was pitched by Rhodes and McIntyre, reportedly "would've led to Cody chasing the title again, eventually reclaiming it from McIntyre—only for Orton to turn on him afterward."

Orton was left off the show completely, so it appears that WWE is saving the big twist involving him for a later event.
In addition to Orton's direction changing, John Cena and Brock Lesnar had a major adjustment to their rivalry match at Saturday's show.
BodySlam.net (h/t Felix Upton of Ringside News) further reported that Cena was originally booked to win the match before the decision was "abruptly changed." Cena reportedly was slotted as the winner as recently as Saturday morning.
Instead, Lesnar defeated Cena in dominant fashion and left him motionless after hitting him with his F-5 finisher multiple times.
The match is one of Cena's last before his impending retirement at the end of the year, so it will be interesting to see where he goes from here.
