British Open 2015: How to View Friday's Live Leaderboard Scores, Updates

Brian MaziqueJul 17, 2015

The second round of the 2015 Open Championship is underway. The golf world will be watching to see if Dustin Johnson can maintain the steadiness he exhibited on Thursday or if he will fold late like he did at the U.S. Open.

Johnson jumped out to a one-stroke lead after the first round with a seven-under 65. It was a bogey-free round that was set up by some dynamic driving and efficient putting.

Mike O'Malley of Golf Digest has Johnson's driving stats from Thursday:

To watch Johnson and others' progress on Friday, you can follow the real-time leaderboard:

You can see the full leaderboard at PGA.com.

Per PGA.com, Johnson doesn't tee off until 12:48 p.m. ET. He may or may not be the leader once he begins his second round. All but two of the men who are one shot behind him will have taken their first shots already.

That may add some pressure to Johnson's round, but that also figures to come from his countryman who has already won the year's first two majors.

Masters and U.S. Open champion Jordan Spieth is just two shots behind Johnson after a round of play. He came out of the gate sizzling. He had five birdies in the first nine holes, but he faltered with two bogeys on the back nine.

Like a champion, the 21-year-old phenom closed the day with a birdie on the 18th hole to get back to five under for the first round.

Spieth also talked about Johnson's driving. Per Golf.com, Spieth knows Johnson's ability to hit the ball long and straight off the tee will force him to be at his best.

Even with Rory McIlroy out of the tournament, we may still be treated to a memorable duel between DJ and Spieth. After he faded miserably at the U.S. Open, Johnson is putting himself in position for redemption. Johnson and Spieth may just joust for supremacy in the sport until McIlroy is ready to return to the game.

If the level of play is as high on Friday as it was on Thursday, it should be another exciting round of golf.
