WWE X AAA Worlds Collide Results, Winners, Live Grades, Reaction and Highlights

Chris MuellerSep 12, 2025

Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of the second WWE and AAA co-produced Worlds Collide event.

Here is a look at what was advertised for the show:

  • Vikingo vs. Dominik Mysterio (AAA Mega Championship)
  • El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. vs. Dragon Lee vs. Ethan Page vs. JD McDonagh (AAA Latin-American Championship)
  • Psycho Clown and Pagano vs. New Day (AAA Tag Titles)
  • Natalya vs. Faby Apache
  • Mr. Iguana and Lola Vice vs. Finn Balor and Roxanne Perez
  • Niño Hamburguesa, Octagón Jr., Laredo Kid & Mascarita Sagrada vs. Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde, Lince Dorado & Mini Abismo Negro
  • Let's take a look at everything that happened at Worlds Collide.

    8-Man Tag Match

    1 of 7

The show opened with a shot of Triple H and Shawn Michaels running into The Undertaker backstage. After the singing of the American and Mexican anthems, Penta made his way out to a big pop. He gave a promo in Spanish and had the crowd pumped up.

Hamburguesa, Octagón Jr., Laredo Kid & Sagrada vs. Del Toro, Wilde, Dorado & Mini Abismo Negro was the first match of the night.

Both teams took turns tagging in different people for quick sequences just to get everyone a little time in the ring.

Del Toro and Wilde were the standouts on their team. They have benefitted from this AAA relationship by getting more prominent spots, and you can see them working hard to make sure they deserve it.

This was a fast-paced match that wasn't lacking for high-flying spots. Some guys definitely shone brighter than others, but it felt like both teams got equal attention.

While the match was entertaining and had the crowd chanting and cheering, it definitely lacked any sense of stakes. It didn't feel like it mattered who won, which is not how a match on a PLE should feel.

All that being said, the final couple of minutes picked up and had the fans going wild. Sagrada scored the win for his team.

Result: Hamburguesa, Octagón Jr., Laredo Kid & Sagrada won

    Grade: B

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • Seeing Taker without his hair and beard dyed is strange.
    • Hearing an anthem sung without the crowd making a single sound out of respect was cool.
    • For some reason, Konnan's seat was a few inches lower than the other announcers.
    • The announcers were trying to make a big deal out of the difference between American and Lucha Libre wrestling.
    • Konnan told a story about beating Jake Roberts for his hair and then going to a strip club.
    • Sagrada's headscissor takedown with several revolutions was incredible.
    • The dive Wilde hit to the floor was bonkers. He flew so far.

    Natalya vs. Faby Apache

    2 of 7

Apache and Natalya had a personal grudge to settle, but they were also competing to see who would become the next challenger for the Reina de Reinas Championship.

Nattie has been tapping into a different side of her personality lately, and it has really helped refresh her character. She feels more focused and aggressive.

As soon as the bell rang, they went right at each other. Apache wrestled her to the mat, but Natalya quickly escaped a submission before they started trading shoulder blocks.

They kept the pace steady but never felt like they were rushing. They took the time to sell big moves and wrenched in submissions long enough for it to seem like it might actually affect them.

This bout was a great display of how fundamental skills never go out of style. These are two women with almost 50 years of experience between them, but they didn't need to do anything fancy to keep the crowd invested. They just focused on making everything look painful for their opponent.

After a hard-fought match, Natalya won with a counter to a pinning combination to get the three-count. They got into a little fight after it was over, but the ref broke it up.

    Result: Natalya defeated Apache

    Grade: B-

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • We got a backstage interaction between Dom and Rey Mysterio. Dom got him to agree to put the title around the winner's waist.
    • The simpler gear suits Natalya better than her flashier gear. It always felt like she was trying to fit in before, and now it feels like we are seeing the real Natalya.
    • Natalya sold a boot to the face like she was knocked out cold.

New Day vs. Psycho Clown and Pagano

    3 of 7

The AAA tag titles were on the line when Pagano and Psycho Clown defended the belts against Kofi Kingston and Grayson Waller, who was subbing in for an injured Xavier Woods.

Waller started against Psycho Clown, and the masked man took control and then took a moment to pose with an oblivious Woods before he noticed that it wasn't Waller.

Konnan pointed out how there were some different rules to this match than what we would get in WWE, but the differences were minimal. This played out like a typical WWE tag match, which may have been to its detriment.

The pace of this match felt too slow, especially for these two teams. They had some good moments, but as a whole, this fell short of expectations. The last few minutes was the best part, but most of what led up to it was mediocre.

Pagano and Psycho Clown retained the AAA tag titles when Pagano pinned Waller. As they were preparing to give an interview, The Wyatt Sicks showed up and attacked them.

Result: Pagano and Psycho Clown defeated New Day

    Grade: C+

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • Woods claimed that he had to have surgery on his head because of what Penta had done to him.
    • Woods' overselling how scared he was of Psycho Clown was hilarious.
    • Konnan kept talking about how different AAA and WWE are, but if anything, this show displayed how AAA has become more like WWE in style and presentation.

Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana vs. Roxanne Perez and Finn Balor

    4 of 7

Raquel Rodriguez accompanied her Judgment Day teammates to the ring for this mixed tag match featuring Balor and Perez taking on Vice and Mr. Iguana.

The men started the match with a simple wristlock exchange. The lizard enthusiast dropkicked Balor when he tried to go for the bag containing his Demon puppet.

Rodriguez interfered and dropped Mr. Iguana on the apron while Balor had the ref distracted. This gave Judgment Day a clear advantage and allowed The Prince to stomp his opponent into the mat.

Somehow, the Demon puppet made an appearance from under the ring without Balor, Perez or Rodriguez being the one to control it. Balor acted like it was alive and told it to get back under the ring.

A few minutes later, Balor brought the puppet into the ring and used it to take down Mr. Iguana.

Most of the action in this match was fine, but they leaned too heavily into the comedy to the point that it stopped being funny and just felt weird after a while.

Vice was able to hit a spinning backfist to get the pin and the win for her team. This match will likely entertain some fans who like the ridiculousness of it all.

Result: Vice and Mr. Iguana defeated Balor and Perez

    Grade: C

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • WWE was selling the Demon puppets on its website, so it's not surprising to see it pop up again here.
    • Jacy Jayne was shown watching from the crowd.
    • If Vice cut down on the taunting by about 25%, she would feel like a more dangerous competitor. She has the legit credentials to be taken seriously.
    • La Yesca being thrown into Demonito like a suicide dive was kind of funny.

El Hijo De Dr. Wagner Jr. vs. Dragon Lee vs. Ethan Page vs. J.D. McDonagh

    5 of 7

The AAA Latin-American Championship was up for grabs when Dr. Wagner put the belt on the line against McDonagh, Lee and Page.

Lee and McDonagh started chopping each other as soon as the bell rang, but Page shoved them out of the ring so he could focus on Wagner.

This match started off hot and did not slow down. All four of these men have their own styles, but the one thing they have in common is the ability to work a fast-paced match.

Compared to everything that came before it, this match was a cut above the rest. It had more exciting moves, more technical precision, and a more logical flow to the action. They all found their groove quickly and worked well together.

Wagner was victorious to retain his title, but all four men had a great showing here. It wouldn't be surprising if we saw Wagner pop up on WWE television after this performance.

Result: Dr. Wagner Jr. defeated Page, Lee and McDonagh

    Grade: B+

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • McDonagh didn't look too excited to be in this match for some reason. He might have been trying to stay in character, but he lacked his usual brash personality during his entrance.
    • It started to sound like JBL was getting tired during this match. His commentary didn't have the same energy it did at the beginning of the show.
    • Page is such a good heel. He does just enough taunting to come across as a jerk without doing it so much that it becomes annoying.

    Vikingo vs. Dominik Mysterio

    6 of 7

The main event of Worlds Collide featured Vikingo defending the AAA Mega Championship against the WWE intercontinental champion, Dirty Dom.

Mysterio tried to mock Vikingo's height, but the high-flyer quickly grounded him into a submission and then lifted him off the mat. Dom countered with a roll-up for a quick two-count.

Despite being the fan-favorite, Dirty Dom leaned into his heel persona and tried to cheat several times with some attempts being more successful than others.

For every dirty trick Dom had, Vikingo had a high-risk move waiting to be unleashed. Unfortunately, McDonagh and Balor showed up and distracted the ref so they could interfere on Dom's behalf.

Lee showed up to help Vikingo but ended up being stomped into the ground. Rey arrived with a steel chair to even the odds. After Judgment Day was driven away, Vikingo hit a 630. El Grande Americano yanked the ref out of the ring to stop the count.

Dirty Dom hit the 619 followed by a Frog Splash, but there was no ref to count. A new ref showed up but Vikingo kicked out at two. A few moments later, Dom hit him with a loaded mask before one more Frog Splash to get the pin and the win.

Dominik Mysterio is the new AAA mega champion, making him a double champion with the IC title. Rey was a man of his word and put the title around Dom's waist, albeit with some hesitancy.

    Result: Mysterio defeated Vikingo

    Grade: B

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • Vikingo's entrance gear was awesome.
    • The crowd was chanting for Dom a lot during the introductions.
    • Corey Graves was trying hard but Konnan and JBL weren't making it easy.
    • Vikingo showed some power in this match. He had Dom up in his arms and held him there a few times.

    The Final Word

    7 of 7

This was the second Worlds Collide event featuring AAA and WWE, but a few things kept this show from feeling like as big a deal as the first one.

The show aired after SmackDown, which means it didn't even get started until 10 p.m. EST and didn't end until close to 1 a.m. It also lacked a big marquee match to draw in the fans.

Most of the matches we got were decent, but only two stood out. The Latin-American Championship and Mega Championship matches were the two biggest highlights of the night.

Dr. Wagner Jr., McDonagh, Lee and Page put on a solid Fatal 4-Way that delivered the most exciting action, but Vikingo and Mysterio told the better story in their bout.

If WWE wants this AAA partnership to be a success, it needs to put more effort into shows like this. The first step would be booking more big names to compete in the future.

For a free show on YouTube, this wasn't a bad way to spend a few hours on a Friday night.
