WWE's ESPN debut premium live event Wrestlepalooza will reportedly be exclusive to the new ESPN direct-to-consumer streaming service known as ESPN Unlimited.

According to PWInsider.com (h/t Cultaholic.com's Aidan Gibbons), some future WWE PLEs will be available on both ESPN Unlimited and ESPN's linear channels such as ESPN and ESPN2, but that won't be the case with Wrestlepalooza.

With Wrestlepalooza reportedly streaming exclusively on ESPN Unlimited, those interested in watching will either have to subscribe at a price point of $29.99 per month, or use their login information for select cable providers to watch at no additional cost.

Last month, WWE and ESPN announced a new partnership that would make ESPN the exclusive home of WWE premium live events.

While the deal wasn't particularly surprising since it was known that WWE's PLE deal with Peacock was expiring, the timing was.

It was widely assumed that WWE PLEs would stream on Peacock at least through the end of 2025, but arrangements were made to move the PLEs to ESPN starting with the Sept. 20 Wrestlepalooza show in Indianapolis.

WWE is already advertising a huge card for the event, including John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar, CM Punk and AJ Lee vs. Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, and Iyo Sky vs. Stephanie Vaquer for the vacant Women's World Championship.

Internal WWE Reaction to Triple H, Stephanie Vacation Photo Leaks

Some in WWE reportedly had a negative reaction to TMZ publishing photos of a family vacation Triple H and Stephanie McMahon took last month in Greece.

The photos, which show WWE's chief content officer and former CEO enjoying the water and sun with their daughters, went viral across the internet several weeks ago.

According to Fightful Select (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News), some unnamed WWE sources "were frustrated and upset" about the photos being made public, believing it was "an invasion of privacy."

Triple H and Stephanie, who have been married since 2003, have long been important parts of the inner workings of WWE.

They started as on-screen characters before taking on significant roles behind the scenes. While Steph doesn't currently have an official role with WWE, she was the chief brand officer for many years and also had a stint as CEO and chairwoman.

Triple H has had creative input dating back to his time as an active in-ring wrestler. He eventually became the head booker of NXT, and he now holds that role on the main roster.

There has arguably never been a bigger power couple in the history of pro wrestling, which explains why there is demand for a glimpse at their real life outside of wrestling.

RVD Says He Was in Talks for Cena Retirement Tour Match

John Cena has faced several familiar and new opponents over the course of his WWE retirement tour throughout 2025, but one match that would have appealed to longtime fans apparently fell through.

During an appearance on TMZ Sports' Inside The Ring (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News), WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam said he and WWE were close to making a match between him and Cena happen until he got injured.

RVD said discussions got to the point where they "were probably going to do it," but the idea was scrapped when he broke both of his heels during a match in MLW.

Van Dam was Cena's opponent for one of the most iconic and memorable matches of his career at ECW One Night Stand 2006.

The match took place at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, and the pro-ECW crowd was firmly behind RVD. Famously, there was a sign in the crowd that read, "If Cena wins, we riot."

Van Dam cashed in his Money in the Bank contract for a shot at Cena's WWE Championship, and he was victorious, becoming WWE champion for the first and only time.

Despite being 54, Van Dam is still an active wrestler, as he worked several AEW matches in 2023 and 2024, and competed in MLW's Battle Riot back in April.

While he may not be as athletic and explosive as he once was, fans undoubtedly would have loved the nostalgia and him and the 48-year-old Cena going at it one final time.

It is unclear what the final few months of Cena's in-ring career will hold, but he does have a showdown with Brock Lesnar on tap for Wrestlepalooza on Sept. 20.
