It's time to party like it's 1996.

Tung-Yuan Little League, who were the representative for the Asia-Pacific region, claimed a 7-0 victory over Nevada in the Little League World Series Championship Game.

This was the first team from Taiwan to win the Little League World Series since 1996. This was the country's 18th title overall.

Fans took to social media to congratulate the ballplayers on their accomplishment.

The winning run came when Juan Zi-Deh scored on a wild pitch in the second inning. Tsai Yu-Ge singled in a the third to make it a 2-0 game and Chinese Tapei added five insurance runs in the fifth to put the game away.

Lin Chin-Tse had a masterful day on the mound, going five innings and allowing just a single hit while striking out four Nevada batters. Chen Qi-Sheng closed it out in the sixth to send Chinese Tapei home with the victory.

This was the first international champion of the tournament since 2017 when Japan claimed the title. They are the first team representing the Asia-Pacific region to win since South Korea in 2014
