AEW Collision Results, Winners, Live Grades, Reaction and Highlights Before All In

Chris MuellerJul 10, 2025

Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of AEW Collision on Thursday, July 10.

This week's show was the final episode of AEW TV before Saturday's All In pay-per-view in Texas, so it spent a lot of time wrapping up all of the big feuds set to be featured this weekend.

The show also included a couple of All-Star eight-person tag matches and a lucha libre feud reignited.

Here is a look at what was advertised for Thursday's show at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas:

—Mistico vs. The Beast Mortos
—FTR and The Patriarchy vs. The Outrunners and JetSpeed
—Willow Nightingale, Thunder Rosa, Queen Aminata and Mina Shirakawa vs. Athena, Thekla, Megan Bayne and Julia Hart

Let's take a look at what happened on the go-home Collision before All In.

The Paragon vs. The Don Callis Family

1 of 6

Adam Cole, Roderick Strong and Kyle O'Reilly took on Kyle Fletcher, Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero in the opening match.

The two Kyles started for their teams, but Fletcher took a cheap shot at Cole on the apron before KOR started going after him with kicks.

The first half of this bout followed a pretty standard formula. Tags were being observed and everyone had a chance to work in the ring. They focused more on the flow of the match than trying to pack in as much as they could, which helped a lot.

Right before the break is when things started to pick up and the action got a little more chaotic.

We returned to see The Paragon beginning to make a comeback after Strong got the hot tag and took out everyone on the opposing team.

All six men put on a solid performance that ended with Cole pinning Romero. Fletcher tried to attack Cole after the match, but the TNT champ saw it coming.

Result: The Paragon defeated The Don Callis Family

Grade: B

Notable Moments and Observations

—The Kyle chants were fun.
—We have never hidden how much we dislike Callis, but he would have been a killer manager in the 1980s.
—The one thing Tony Schiavone and Callis agreed on was how underrated Beretta is as a performer.
—Strong's hot tag was the best sequence in the match.

Mistico vs. Beast Mortos

2 of 6

Mistico received a warm welcome from the fans as he made his entrance to take on The Beast Mortos.

Mortos tried to rush at Mistico as soon as the bell rang, but the high-flyer avoided him in the corner and hit a series of moves. He had the upper hand for the first couple of minutes, but the big man eventually started to build some momentum.

While both men represent the lucha libre style of wrestling, they bring their own unique interpretation to it. Mistico is more along the lines of a traditional high-flyer, while Mortos incorporates more power moves to complement his size.

They worked well together to put on a fun show for the Texas crowd. Every big spot got a pop, and they made the most of the time they had while still taking some time to sell the bigger moves.

Mistico was able to get the win via submission with La Mistica, his trademark armbar.

Result: Mistico defeated Beast Mortos

Grade: B

Notable Moments and Observations

—We got to see Harley Cameron in a commercial. She has been missed.
—Scorpio Sky had a nice video package with Top Flight and Christopher Daniels.
—It's wild how Mistico went from being midcard Sin Cara to one of the top stars in CMLL.
—The way Mistico lands on his feet after a hurricanrana is so impressive.

FTR and The Patriarchy vs. The Outrunners and JetSpeed

3 of 6

Adam Page and Swerve Strickland were shown having a backstage interaction following Wednesday's Dynamite. Both said they regretted how far their rivalry took them.

Back in the arena, Jon Moxley showed up and started complaining about what we just saw with Hangman and Swerve. After he made his exit, it was time for the all-star eight man tag match.

Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler, Christian Cage and Nick Wayne took on Truth Magnum, Turbo Floyd, Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight.

It didn't take long for the heel team to take control and start isolating opponents in their corner for double- and triple-team spots. Knight took a lot of damage before he was able to make a tag.

The match broke down into a huge brawl as the show went to a break. We returned to see the mayhem still going on as the babyfaces had the upper hand.

After a fun and exciting back-and-forth contest, Bailey scored the win for his team.

Result: JetSpeed and The Outrunners defeated FTR and The Patriarchy

Grade: B+

Notable Moments and Observations

—Mark Briscoe had a serious promo directed at MJF to hype their All In match.
—The backstage segment with Swerve and Hangman was great because they didn't suddenly become friends. They just came to an understanding.
—We don't need a big standoff in every tag match with more than four people. When it happens in every bout, it stops feeling natural.

Katsuyori Shibata vs. Gabe Kidd

4 of 6

Gabe Kidd went right after Katsuyori Shibata as soon as he hit the ring. The latter helped train the former, so the announcers made sure to mention that a few times to sell the personal connection they have.

Once Shibata took control, Kidd took a breather at ringside and suckered him into an attack. The Wrestler regained his footing and started fighting back as we went into a commercial.

This was the most physical encounter of the night and saw both men take some stiff shots from their opponent. The crowd was quiet during the big hits, so each one echoed. It made their reactions to each strike that much louder, too.

Unfortunately, the contest ended with Wheeler Yuta getting involved to give Kidd a chance to hit a low blow followed by a piledriver for the win.

Result: Kidd defeated Shibata

Grade: B

Notable Moments and Observations

—The Costco Guys were backstage. It looks like Papa Costco will be in a match on the All In pre-show with The Conglomeration against RPG Vice.
—Kidd does such a good job at looking unhinged. He may even be better at it than Moxley.
—Kidd sold a couple of hits from Shibata as though he was hit by a truck.

All Star 8-Woman Tag Match

5 of 6

This week's main event was the big women's tag match that was advertised ahead of the show with Nightingale, Rosa, Aminata and Shirakawa taking on Athena, Thekla, Bayne and Hart.

Rosa and Athena started, which was appropriate seeing as they will be fighting for the ROH women's title Friday at Supercard of Honor.

This match wasn't as chaotic as the men's bout we got earlier, but that was a good thing. This contest allowed everyone to stand out more as individuals with their own moments.

Thekla and Aminata were two of the biggest standouts, but everyone did a good job making sure this was an entertaining main event.

The babyfaces got the victory with Nightingale getting the pin for her team, but the heels who accompanied the others to the ring immediately attacked the winners.

Anna Jay and Tay Melo came out to help even the odds and the show ended with a huge brawl to hype the women's Casino Gauntlet match at All In.

Result: Aminata, Shirakawa, Rosa and Nightingale won

Grade: B+

Notable Moments and Observations

—Kris Statlander was on commentary for this match.
—Penelope Ford, Skye Blue and Billie Starkz were all at ringside for the heel team.
—It's too bad Ford has been relegated to being a sidekick and doesn't wrestle as much as Bayne.
—It's weird to see people just sitting at ringside instead of being on the apron waiting for a tag.

The Final Word

6 of 6

The last episode of AEW TV before All In on Saturday did a great job of hyping all the big feuds while still taking enough time to feature some fun in-ring action.

Just about everything we saw on Thursday's show worked. It felt like the right people won, and all of the non-wrestling segments helped build the PPV.

We usually tell you to go watch a specific match, but the thing you need to see this week is the backstage segment with Strickland and Page.

They have had one of the defining feuds in AEW over the past two years, and this segment may have been one of the best things we have seen in their story. They both did an excellent job making it clear that just because they both had regrets does not mean they are suddenly going to be palling around.

This was a strong episode of Collision, which hopefully leads into a great PPV this weekend.
