Jason Terry Re-Signs with Rockets on 1-Year Deal
Jason Terry is reportedly a free agent no more after deciding to join the Rockets on a one-year deal worth $1.5 million, per Shams Charania of Real GM.
Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle confirmed the veteran-minimum deal.
Terry played 77 games for the Rockets last year, averaging 7.0 points and 1.9 assists in 21.3 minutes on the floor. He also shot 39 percent from behind the arc.
With the Rockets having already locked up Patrick Beverley and Corey Brewer with extensions, in addition to the team's move for Lawson, Terry could continue to play more of a limited role, which generally entails him being parked behind the three-point line. His .724 three-point rate last season was the highest of his career, per Basketball-Reference.com.
As long as Terry isn't pressed into more playing time like he was during the playoffs after Beverley's injury, signing him will work out well for the Rockets' rotation as they look to make another push in the Western Conference.
