Examining Latest NBA Trade Rumors Following 2025 NBA Draft Results
The Chicago Bulls appear to be open for business.
The Bulls traded Lonzo Ball to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday morning and they might not be done.
Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times reported that "everyone else" outside of Josh Giddey and Matas Buzelis was discussed in trade negotiations.
Cowley specifically mentioned Ball and Coby White as players that were involved in active trade conversations.
Higher up in the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics might not be done making deals after acquiring Anfernee Simons and Georges Niang as part of the Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis deals earlier this week.
Bulls Active In Trade Conversations

The Bulls could be one of the most active teams on the trade market in the coming days.
Before the Ball trade with Cleveland occurred, Joe Cawley of the Chicago Sun-Times reported on the Bulls' potential dealings.
"The Sun-Times reported earlier this week that the Bulls were actively looking to package Patrick Williams in a deal this summer, and little on the roster was deemed untouchable."
"Everyone else has been discussed, including active conversations for guards Coby White and Lonzo Ball."
Coby White is the potentially the most fascinating trade piece available because of his three-point shooting.
White owns a career 36.9 three-point percentage and knocked down at least 37 percent of his shots from downtown in each of the last four seasons.
White also increased his scoring output last season with his first year of over 20 points per game.
The guard is in the last year of his contract, so it may be easier for teams to get involved in trade talks. They won't be taking on a ton of money and will have at least one year of improved shooting from beyond the arc.
A handful of contenders could use White's scoring output to improve their rosters, and if the Bulls are committed to retooling the entire roster outside of Buzelis and Giddey, he could be gone soon after Ball.
Celtics Remaining Active In Trade Market

According to MassLive's Brian Robb, "the Celtics are expected to remain active in the trade market while retooling their roster."
Robb reported that "the team is explore their options with the newly acquired talent like Anfernee Simons and Georges Niang and other parts of the roster including Sam Hauser."
Simons would be a starter on the 2025-26 edition of the Celtics with Jayson Tatum for most of the season, while Niang would be a depth piece at forward that provides strong three-point shooting.
Both new acquisitions could easily stay and be part of a retooled roster in Boston, or they could be used as trade bait.
Simons is still only 26 and would be a strong scorer on most teams, while Niang has proved to be a reliable bench piece throughout his career at countless different stops.
Boston would have to have the right deals in place so that its roster isn't completely depleted after the Holiday and Porzingis deals, but it seems like anything is on the table with an expected downturn from the top part of the Eastern Conference occurring next season.
Cam Whitmore Reportedly Mentioned In Trade Talks

The Athletic's Kelly Iko reported that Cam Whitmore "has been the subject of a number of trade discussions in recent days."
Whitmore is one of the many promising young players on the Houston Rockets roster, but his path to consistent playing time, or at least the ability to impact the rotation, could be hindered by Kevin Durant's arrival.
The Rockets have a trio of Whitmore, Reed Sheppard and Jabari Smith that could come off the bench to support Durant and Co., but that might not be the role Whitmore or Smith might want at this stage of their careers.
Whitmore averaged 12.3 points per game in his rookie season and 9.4 points per contest last year.
The 2023 first-round pick could be a nice off-the-bench asset for another team. It may make sense for Houston to swap Whitmore for a veteran bench player or picks to put the franchise in a better position to win with Durant on the roster.
