Latest NBA Draft 2025 Rumors Entering Day 2 Following 1st-Round Results

Joe TanseyJun 26, 2025

A handful of intriguing prospects are still available at the start of the 2025 NBA draft second round.

St. Joseph's forward Rasheer Fleming, Stanford big man Maxime Reynaud and Creighton center Ryan Kalkbrenner are among the top players left.

The Minnesota Timberwolves kick off Thursday's second round with the No. 31 overall pick. The Boston Celtics pick at No. 32 and the Charlotte Hornets have two selections in a row.

As we saw in the first round, some trades will occur. ESPN.com's Jeremy Woo said Reynaud could be one of the top trade targets.

"I'd guess there will be a few teams trying to find a way to get him early in the 30s," Woo wrote.

Bleacher Report's Jonathan Wasserman reported in his last mock draft prior to the first round that "some scouts have Maxime Raynaud closer to the lottery than second round."

There were also high opinions on Fleming, who had the potential to go high in the first round, per Wasserman.

"We've heard from scouts who think he's going to go earlier than many initially expected," Wasserman wrote.

Fleming and Reynaud are expected to be the first two names off the board on Thursday. Woo and his ESPN colleague Jonathan Givony as well as Wasserman have Fleming at No. 31 and Reynaud at No. 32 in their updated mocks.

Florida State's Jamir Watkins is another name to watch early in the second round.

SNY's Ian Begley reported that Watkins has "some fans within the Knick organization".

Givony noted in his round 2 mock draft that Watkins could be an early second-round pick because of his performance at the NBA draft combine.

"Few players helped themselves at the NBA combine as much as Watkins as he brought physicality and high-level intensity defensively while making plays all over the court," Givony wrote.

French prospect Noah Penda, Duke guard Tyrese Proctor and Arkansas forward Adou Thiero are other names to watch early on Thursday.
