Bulls Right to Consider Lonzo Ball, Coby White Trades Amid NBA Rumors
The Chicago Bulls have missed the playoffs in eight of the last 10 seasons, leading many to believe an organizational rebuild is on the horizon.
That would line up with the latest from Clutch Points' Brett Siegel, who reported that there is considerable interest in two of the team's remaining stars, Lonzo Ball and Coby White.
The team has not indicated either way that they would be willing to trade the players, but they would be right to consider it.

Ball has a history of injury knee injuries but showed grit, determination, and resiliency in coming back from them in 2025, averaging 22.2 minutes in 35 games, with 7.6 points per, 3.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.3 steals.
White, the de facto leader of the Bulls offense, played 33.3 minutes, scored 20.4 per game, shot 45.3 percent from the floor, and added 3.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists along the way.
When healthy, Ball is a difference maker on the court, something he proved before the knee injuries threatened his playing career. White has shown flashes of being a dynamic playmaker and could be an excellent missing piece for a contending team.
With the team signaling a potential makeover with its selections of 18-year-old French player Noa Essengue in Wednesday's draft, now is the time to make the deals before White becomes an unrestricted free agent after next season.
They should find a trade partner, deal the assets they have, acquire picks or players in return, and focus on the future. The team will likely sign Josh Giddey to a significant new contract this offseason. Build around him and Essengue and leave the past decade in the rear-view mirror, even if it means limping through what would be a difficult upcoming season.
The alternative is a scenario where either Ball or White lose their value, or the latter walks away next off-season in search of a better contract or situation and the Bulls get nothing in return.
This incarnation of the team cannot afford that.
