Bulls' Lonzo Ball, Coby White Reportedly Drawing 'A Lot' of NBA Trade Interest
Chicago Bulls guards Lonzo Ball and Cody White are reportedly generating interest on the trade market already this offseason.
According to Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com, there is "a lot" of interest in Ball and White, and the Bulls have fielded multiple calls on Ball.
Despite the fact that Ball played in only 35 games last season after missing the entire 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons due to knee injuries, the Bulls reportedly aren't sure if they want to trade him yet.

Ball, 27, was originally the No. 2 overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. He was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans after two seasons and subsequently signed a four-year, $80 million deal with the Bulls in 2021.
Ball's first year in Chicago was one of the best statistical seasons of his career, as he averaged 13.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 3.1 three-pointers made and 1.8 steals per contest in 35 games, while shooting 42.3 percent from the field and a career-best 42.3 percent from beyond the arc.
After missing two full seasons, Ball returned last season and averaged 7.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.9 three-points made and 1.3 steals in 22.2 minutes per game.
The Bulls were impressed enough with his play to sign him to a two-year, $20 million contract extension in February. The deal includes a club option for 2026-27.
White had several inconsistent seasons after the Bulls selected him seventh overall in the 2019 NBA draft, but he truly came into his own over the past two campaigns.
In 2023-24, White set new career highs across the board with 19.1 points, 5.1 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 2.6 three-pointers made per game.
Last season, White was the Bulls' leading scorer among players who appeared in at least 43 games, averaging a new career-high 20.4 points per game to go along with 4.5 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 2.9 three-pointers.
White is currently playing under a three-year, $36 million deal, which is a huge bargain based on his recent level of play. However, the 2025-26 season is the last year on that contract.
He is in line for a significant raise, so the Bulls have to decide whether to give it to him or trade him and allow another team to take that chance.
The 25-year-old White is one of the most valuable trade chips the Bulls possess, so it is understandable why they may consider moving him.
Chicago has missed the playoffs in three straight seasons, finishing with a 39-43 record each of the past two years.
Trading White would perhaps cause the Bulls to take a step back next season, but he could net them some pieces that will help significantly in the future.
