Alex Caruso Teaches Thunder How to Pop Champagne on Video After Winning NBA Finals
The Oklahoma City Thunder are a young team, but their lack of experience didn't inhibit them from winning a championship on Sunday.
But in the locker room celebration, their age showed, and they had to lean on the veteran, Alex Caruso. Caruso, a champion with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020, showed the group of youngsters how to properly pop champagne.
Caruso led the way in the locker room celebrations on Sunday, but he also played a big role in getting the team to a championship. He played big minutes off the bench all postseason, averaging 9.2 points and 1.9 steals per game during the playoffs.
In the Finals, he posted 10.1 points and 2.4 steals per game. He had a massive 20-point game in Game 2's win and added another 20-point effort in Game 4's win. On Sunday, he put up 10 points, three steals and a block to help secure the title.
Caruso is far from the flashiest player in the league, but he's now a two-time champion who knows a thing or two about popping champagne in celebrations.
