Kevin Durant Predicts Micah Parsons Will Leave Cowboys for Commanders in NFL Career
Just as superstar Kevin Durant is on the move to Texas, he's predicting another star could soon be on the move out of Texas.
Durant, a Washington D.C. native and lifelong Commanders fan, found himself doing a bit of recruiting when he crossed paths with Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons at Fanatics Fest on Sunday.
"I think he (Micah Parsons) will be a Commander at some point in his career," Durant told Kay Adams. "I would say two years from now."
Parsons didn’t exactly shut down the idea.
"I only rock with Dan Quinn, you know what I mean," Parsons replied.
Quinn, entering his second season as Washington’s head coach after three years as Dallas’ defensive coordinator, would make for a natural reunion with Parsons—a connection Durant didn’t hesitate to highlight.
"Exactly. That's all he needs to rock with," Durant said.
News of Durant’s blockbuster trade broke Sunday morning, as the Phoenix Suns sent the 35-year-old to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 pick in this year’s draft and a haul of future selections.
Even with Houston just a few hours from Dallas, Durant made it clear: he’s not switching NFL allegiances.
He’s staying loyal to the Commanders.
Parsons, 26, remains locked in with the Cowboys for the upcoming season, but don’t be surprised if he pops up at a few Rockets games.
"He knows I'm going to come and support," Parsons said. "That's my dog. Slim Reaper."
