Cam Thomas Says He 'Definitely' Wants to Return to Nets in 2025 NBA Free Agency
Having led the Brooklyn Nets in scoring in each of the past two seasons, Cam Thomas hopes to remain with the club as he prepares to hit restricted free agency this summer.
Speaking to Marc Davis of WTKR News 3 in Norfolk, Thomas said he "definitely" wants to remain with the Nets while also acknowledging "you have to do what’s best for you in the business aspects."

If the Nets want to keep Thomas, they don't have to worry about many other teams signing him to an offer sheet because there's not a lot of cap space around the NBA right now.
The Nets, Detroit Pistons and Memphis Grizzlies are the only teams projected to have cap space. Brooklyn has, by far, the most available at $58 million, followed by the Pistons ($24.6 million) and Grizzlies ($6.9 million).
In March, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reported Thomas could get a deal between $20-22 million per season. That's not an insignificant sum in this new apron era, especially for an extremely ball-dominant scorer who is not an efficient shooter.
Thomas has averaged 15.1 points on 12.1 field-goal attempts per game in 215 appearances over the past four seasons. He's also coming off a season in which injuries limited him to just 25 games.
The Nets are still in the process of rebuilding, so they can afford to give Thomas the runway needed to maximize his skills and potentially try to trade him later on. They could also transform their roster this offseason with four first-round draft picks, including the eighth overall selection.
