Jazz Reportedly Have 'Strong Opinion' on Kon Knueppel Ahead of 2025 NBA Draft
The Utah Jazz have a "strong opinion" of Duke guard Kon Knueppel after he visited the team "earlier this week," according to NBA insider Jake Fischer.
Blue Devils big man Khaman Maluach is also on Utah's radar ahead of the 2025 NBA draft, per Fischer.
The Jazz own the No. 5 overall pick in the draft.
ESPN's Jonathan Givony previously reported that the Charlotte Hornets, owners of the No. 4 selection in the draft, and Utah both "appear to have interest" in Knueppel.
The 19-year-old showcased his shooting prowess throughout his lone year with the Blue Devils, averaging 14.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.0 steals per game on 47.9/40.6/91.4 shooting splits.
Knueppel also stepped up during Duke's 2025 NCAA Tournament run that ended in the Final Four. He recorded 15.0 points per game while shooting 53.7 percent from the field and 55.6 percent from three-point territory in five March Madness contests.
In the latest mock draft from Bleacher Report's Jonathan Wasserman, Knueppel was projected to be off the board with the No. 10 overall pick. Meanwhile, Utah added Oklahoma point guard Jeremiah Fears at No. 5.
Knueppel's recent meeting with the Jazz may have boosted his draft stock, though.
