The Premier League released the full set of fixtures for the 2025-26 season on Wednesday. The campaign will kick off in mid-August and conclude May 24.
While Liverpool had already wrapped up the championship well before the final day, the race for European spots went down to the wire this past year.
Liverpool (vs. Brentford) and Manchester City (vs. Aston Villa) both play at home on Matchday 38. Manchester United (at Brighton) and Arsenal (at Crystal Palace) have what could be tricky away fixtures. Tottenham Hotspur hosts Everton as well. There could be plenty of drama to unfold to close the curtain on the season.
One of the more notable aspects from this year's schedule is that there aren't any matches on Boxing Day. All 20 clubs are slated to be in action on Dec. 27.
Some supporters may get to partake in the annual post-Christmas tradition, though. The Premier League said matches may get shifted to Boxing Day depending on the needs of live broadcasters. It's unclear why the PL isn't occupying its usual position on the festive calendar.
No manager may be under more pressure from the outset than Manchester United's Ruben Amorim.
The Red Devils had their worst ever Premier League finish in 2024-25, winding up in 15th with 42 points. They were unable to parachute into the Champions League after losing to Tottenham in the Europa League final as well.
While the United board didn't let Amorim to hand in his resignation, the fact the manager even floated the idea of walking away was a sign of how badly things went.
Unfortunately for he and the club, The Athletic's Colin Millar and Chris Weatherspoon suggested Manchester United has the most difficult stretch at the start of the PL season. After Arsenal come matchups with Fulham, Burnley, Manchester City and Chelsea.
That run presents Amorim a great opportunity to show he has made progress with the full benefit of a preseason to get his tactical ideas across to the players. A series of sluggish performances, on the other hand, might put him in serious jeopardy a little over a month into his first full year.
