NBA Insiders Reportedly Feel 'Jalen Williams Can Have a Scottie Pippen-Like Career'
Jalen Williams' two-way impact is a huge reason why the Oklahoma City Thunder won 68 games during the regular season and reached the NBA Finals.
People around the NBA reportedly believe the 24-year-old is only scratching the surface in what could ultimately be a legendary career, ESPN's Brian Windhorst said Monday:
Williams was fantastic in the regular season, averaging 21.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.6 steals per game, and he's made a similar impact in the playoffs (20.8 PPG, 5.7 RPG, 5.1 APG, 1.5 SPG). His 27 points and seven rebounds were crucial in OKC's comeback win in Game 4.
Shai-Gilgeous Alexander is the main man for the Thunder, now and into the future. But Williams is proving to be the perfect Robin to that Batman.
Comparing him to a Hall of Famer like Scottie Pippen is high praise, and he has plenty to prove before that's fully earned. But it's hard to argue that he isn't on his way.
