Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton Reportedly Will Return from Elbow Injury vs. Angels
New York Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton will make his return from an elbow injury against the Los Angeles Angels on Monday night, according to SNY's Andy Martino.
Stanton experienced discomfort in both elbows at the beginning of training camp before he was eventually sidelined for the start of the 2025 season, per Bryan Hoch of MLB.com.
He later revealed that tendon ailments in his elbows required multiple rounds of platelet-rich plasma injections.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Stanton was eventually healthy enough to begin a rehab assignment with the Somerset Patriots on Tuesday. In three games with Somerset, he recorded three hits in 11 at-bats.
Yankees manager Aaron Boone previously told reporters that Stanton would be able to return during the team's upcoming four-game series with the Angels, but didn't specify which game he'd make his season debut.
Health issues have plagued Stanton during his tenure with the Bronx Bombers, missing at least 45 games in each of the past three seasons.
Still, the former National League MVP has continued to showcase his power at the plate when available. Stanton recorded 27 home runs and 20 doubles to go along with 72 RBIs in 2025, posting a .773 OPS.
He also stepped up during New York's run to the 2024 World Series. Stanton racked up seven homers and 16 RBIs in 14 postseason games last year, compiling a .273/.339/.709 slash line.
The Yankees have remained one of the top teams in the majors despite his absence, sitting at No. 1 in the American League East standings with a 42-28 record.
New York's .794 OPS as a team and 109 total home runs are also the highest marks among all AL squads this season.
The Yankees and Angels will face off on Monday at 7:05 p.m. ET.
