The 2025 season reportedly could be in jeopardy for one of the top returning wide receivers in the Big Ten.

According to CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz, there is "concern" Stewart could miss next season after suffering a knee injury "believed to be a torn patellar tendon."

This would be a particularly difficult loss for the Ducks, as Stewart was expected to be a major part of the offense in 2025.

He was third on the team last year with 613 receiving yards, but top receivers Tez Johnson and Traeshon Holden both left for the NFL. That made Stewart the potential top option for a 2025 offense that will also be breaking in a new quarterback following Dillon Gabriel's departure.

Alas, Oregon might need to rely even more on freshman Dakorien Moore, who was a 5-star prospect and the top wide receiver in the 2025 recruiting class, per 247Sports' composite rankings.

As for Stewart, he started his collegiate career as a 5-star prospect and highly regarded recruit. He played his first two seasons with Texas A&M before transferring to Oregon and helping the program win the Big Ten title with an undefeated regular season.

He finished with 48 catches for 613 yards and five touchdowns during a season that saw him play at his best during some of the biggest moments.

Stewart posted seven catches for 149 yards and one touchdown in the regular-season win over Ohio State after finishing with 112 receiving yards and a score in the win over Boise State. He also scored a touchdown in a road victory over Michigan.

However, Stewart was sidelined with a lower back injury during the Ducks' blowout loss to the Buckeyes in the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff.

It surely wasn't how he wanted to end what was such an impressive campaign, but he might not have a chance to take the field in 2025 either depending on the severity of this setback.
