The Big Ten and SEC announced the kickoff times for their early-season matchups before conference play ramps up in 2025.

Fox Big Noon Schedule
- Ohio State vs. Texas (Aug. 30)
- Iowa State vs. Iowa (Sept. 6)
- Northwestern vs. Oregon (Sept. 13)
- Michigan vs. Ohio State (Nov. 29)
Likewise, this is what ABC's primetime SEC slate looks like so far:
SEC on ABC Saturday Night Football Schedule
- Clemson vs. LSU (Aug. 30)
- Oklahoma vs. Michigan (Sept. 6)
- LSU vs. Florida (Sept. 13)
- Texas vs. Texas A&M (Nov. 28)
Ohio State vs. Texas is a rematch of the Cotton Bowl Classic, which the Buckeyes won 28-14 en route to lifting a national title. Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning will have a difficult test straight out of the gate in his first full year as the starter.
Later that night, Clemson will host LSU at 7:30 p.m. with coverage on ABC. Each school will have College Football Playoff aspirations after missing out, and a win at Clemson Memorial Stadium will be a big feather in the cap for whoever comes out on top.
Week 2 will see another big inter-conference battle between the Big Ten and SEC when Michigan hits the road to play Oklahoma. The Wolverines and Sooners will both be looking for a victory there to remove the bad taste from a disappointing 2024 campaign.
It may not be too long before it's easier to sort through the Big Ten and SEC's non-conference schedules.
The SEC is weighing a move to a nine-game conference schedule, up from eight, which would mean having only three open slots on the calendar. That number would dwindle even further if the rumored scheduling agreement between the B1G and SEC becomes a reality.
