Updated NBA Playoff Bracket 2025 Picture, Schedule After Thunder Eliminate Wolves

Andrew PetersMay 28, 2025

The Oklahoma City Thunder have been one of the best teams in the NBA all year, and now they've punched their ticket to the Finals.

The Thunder trounced the Minnesota Timberwolves 124-94 on Wednesday to win the series in five games.

Oklahoma City is now awaiting the winner of the Eastern Conference Finals between the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers. The Pacers have a 3-1 lead in the series with a chance to close things out with a win on Thursday.

In the meantime, the Thunder are an incredible -750 to win the NBA title after topping the Timberwolves, per Fanduel Sportsbook. The Pacers are +650 while the Knicks are +2400.

Here's a look at the remaining schedule for the Eastern Conference Finals

Eastern Conference Finals Schedule

Game 5: Thursday, May 29, 8 p.m. ET

Game 6 (if necessary): Saturday, May 31, 8 p.m. ET

Game 7 (if necessary): Monday, June 2, 8 p.m. ET

The NBA Finals will start on June 5.

Wednesday's Game 5 was pure dominance for the Thunder.

Oklahoma City led by 17 by the end of the first quarter, allowing just nine points from the Timberwolves. The Thunder never looked back, coasting to a 65-32 lead by the end of the first half, good for their largest halftime lead in franchise history.

The outstanding first half allowed them to turn on cruise control in the second half.

MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way for the Thunder, posting 34 points, eight assists and seven rebounds, capping off what has been a tremendous series for him.

His two co-stars had solid games as well, as Chet Holmgren posted 22 points and Jalen Williams added 19.

The Finals berth for the Thunder marks their first since 2012 when Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden fell short against the LeBron James and Dwyane Wade-led Miami Heat.

A win over either Indiana or New York would give the Thunder their first championship since 1979 and the only title since moving to Oklahoma City in 2008.
