Green initially earned All-Defensive First Team honors during the 2014-15 season.
His latest achievement represented his fifth All-Defensive First Team nod of his career as well as his ninth overall All-Defensive team selection.
Green is now one of only 13 players in NBA history to be named to an All-Defensive team at least nine times.
The former Defensive Player of the Year winner nearly earned the honor for the second time in his career for his 2024-25 campaign as well. Green was a finalist for the award, but ultimately finished No. 3 in voting as Cleveland Cavaliers forward Evan Mobley took home some hardware.
Still, the 35-year-old's ability to remain one of the league's top defensive players for an extended period of time is impressive.
Green anchored a Warriors defense that led the league with a 109.3 defensive rating after the All-Star break (via NBA.com). He averaged 1.5 steals and 1.0 blocks per game during the regular season.
The four-time All-Star showcased his versatility throughout the year, guarding multiple positions once again. While Green operated as a rim protector in smaller lineups, he also ranked No. 2 in the NBA by averaging 3.6 contested threes per game.
The bond between Curry and Green is well-known, as they've been teammates over the past 13 seasons and have won four championships together.
While the Warriors' quest for another title ended with a second-round playoff defeat at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Curry still gave Green a shoutout for his All-Defensive First Team recognition.
