Ben Stiller Reacts to Haliburton's Choke Celly, Fans Chanted 'Knicks in 4' Outside MSG
Legendary actor Ben Stiller was among the many New York Knicks fans who were left devastated by the Indiana Pacers' comeback win in Wednesday's Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, and he took to social media to express his disappointment.
Stiller posted a tweet with a simple reaction to Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton's choke celebration after his buzzer-beater that sent the game into overtime:

The Knicks led by as many as 17 points in the fourth quarter before the Pacers staged a dramatic comeback to earn a 138-135 overtime win. Haliburton had 31 points and 11 assists in the victory, and Indiana forward Aaron Nesmith added 30 points on 8-of-9 shooting from three-point range.
Knicks fans like Stiller were understandably shellshocked following the loss, which was a stark contrast to when they were confidently chanting "Knicks in four!" outside Madison Square Garden when it looked like New York was on its way to victory.
The scenes after the game were a far departure from the celebrations on the streets of New York City that produced viral moments on social media following Knicks wins. The Athletic's Mike Vorkunov painted a picture of the devastation after Wednesday's loss.
"What is it like to see some 20,000 fans nearly catatonic, all in some state of shock? It looked a lot like this. It looked a lot like the world’s most dour arena, beset by the kind of depression only high-stakes playoff basketball can invoke," Vorkunov wrote.
The Knicks will have to get over this loss quickly if they hope to bounce back against the Pacers in Friday's Game 2 at MSG.
