76ers' Oubre Jr., Drummond, Gordon Reportedly Expected to Exercise Contract Options

Philadelphia 76ers veterans Kelly Oubre Jr., Andre Drummond and Eric Gordon are all expected to accept their player options and return to the team next season, according to NBA insiders Marc Stein and Jake Fischer.

"League sources say all three exercising their player options to return is Philadelphia's expectation and Morey suggested the same during his aforementioned podcast appearance," Stein and Fischer reported Sunday.

Roster continuity combined with better health from the team's stars could help Philadelphia improve upon a disappointing 24-58 finish during its 2024-25 campaign.

Oubre's player option for the 2025-26 season is worth just less than $8.4 million, via Spotrac.

The 29-year-old has alternated between the starting lineup and the bench throughout his two years in Philadelphia, utilizing his athleticism to remain an efficient finisher around the rim while guarding multiple positions on defense.

In 60 appearances during his 2024-25 season, Oubre averaged 15.1 points and 6.1 rebounds per game while shooting 55.5 percent on two-point field goals.

As for Drummond, he owns a $5 million player option for his 2025-26 campaign.

While he struggled when tasked with extended minutes in the wake of Joel Embiid's absence, he thrived when operating in a smaller role as the superstar center's backup.

Drummond averaged 5.8 points and 5.5 rebounds in 12.2 minutes per game while shooting 53.5 percent from the field in 17 games off the bench last season. The veteran has remained a force on the glass, pulling down 17.8 rebounds per 36 minutes over the past three years.

Gordon only suited up in 39 contests after undergoing wrist surgery, but his ability to space the floor around Embiid, Paul George and Tyrese Maxey is crucial for Philadelphia when healthy.

He shot 40.9 percent from three-point territory during his first season with the 76ers and has connected on 37.2 percent of his triples throughout his career.

Gordon holds a $3.5 million player option, which he's reportedly expected to accept.
