2025 NBA Draft Lottery Full Odds and Teams with Most at Stake
The NBA will crown the winner of the Cooper Flagg sweepstakes Monday night.
Or, more officially, the league will hold its annual draft lottery at 7 p.m. ET (ESPN) and disperse the first 14 selections of this year's talent grab.
It's always a fascinating event to watch, particularly when there's a full-fledged blue-chip prospect up for grabs. That's absolutely the cast this year, as Flagg has drawn some elite frontcourt comparisons like Kawhi Leonard, Scottie Pippen and Kevin Garnett.
There are, however, more potential difference-makers farther down the draft board, so it's not like we'll only see one winner emerge from Monday night. Unfortunately, we'll see some big losers, too.
So, before the ping-pong balls drop, let's set the stage by running through the full lottery odds and spotlighting three teams with the most at stake.

Charlotte Hornets
LaMelo Ball has five NBA seasons under his belt, and only one of them produced a winning record. Even more worrisome for the Hornets, their win rate is trapped in a three-year spiral that has taken it to a dismal .232.
They need some of kind of win to get Buzz City buzzing again, particularly since this new leadership group holds few allegiances to this roster. There could be more major changes in Charlotte if progress isn't made soon.
Flagg would obviously be an enormous get for this group, but they could get plenty of mileage out of a jumbo shot-maker like Ace Bailey or a defensive tone-setter like VJ Edgecombe, too. Should the Hornets be denied this draft's top prizes, though, perhaps that would be the beginning of a roster reset around Brandon Miller.
Philadelphia 76ers
No one will sweat out this event more than the Sixers.
They were by far the biggest disappointments of the 2024-25 season, but they could forget about that pain—at least momentarily—by striking lottery gold. This roster still looks awfully competitive if it could ever stay healthy, and a team with Flagg, Joel Embiid, Paul George, Tyrese Maxey and Jared McCain sure sounds like a potential contender.
That's how great this night could go, but another massive disappointment could be in the works, too. The Sixers have only top-six protection on their pick, meaning if they slip out of this range, their first-rounder would belong to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Utah Jazz
The asset-rich packages the Jazz received in the previous Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert trades will give them multiple cracks at multiple drafts. Still, this club could use a centerpiece prospect as much as anyone.
The Jazz have a handful of interesting young players, but there isn't an obvious needle-mover in the mix. Keyonte George maybe comes closest, but he has yet to discover how to score efficiently at this level. Walker Kessler is a dominant defender, but his offensive menu is limited.
Utah, a non-destination franchise, needs to find its elite talent through the draft. Beyond that, though, the Jazz could also use clarity on how soon they might field a competitive club, since there's little reason to keep Lauri Markkanen around if they're nowhere close. They just posted their lowest winning percentage ever (.207), so there's obviously work to do, but leaving this lottery with a path to Flagg or Dylan Harper could be an enormous step in the right direction.
